Straightforward and transparent purchase I’ve always bought my vehicles used with cash paid up front and in full— I was not about that car payment life. Until I decided that I was an adult wh I’ve always bought my vehicles used with cash paid up front and in full— I was not about that car payment life. Until I decided that I was an adult who needed to improve her credit score by financing a newer model used car. I saw Chris post a 2012 Nissan Juke on Facebook and he passed my “scan test”: • At least five photos from different angles with a ’decent camera [??] • Year, make, model, price, mileage listed prominently [?] • Appropriate language and no serious spelling errors or sloppy word usage [?] • No cheesy copywriting or sweet-talking [?] • Contact number provided and indicated that texting was an option. I’m hearing impaired so this is a big one. [???] • No drugs, weapons, or questionable activity in the profile picture [?] I was able to meet him at the dealership and test drive the car that afternoon. What I liked about Chris was that he was clear about the important details about the car and communicated them right away. He knows how important it is to give people the information they’re looking for in lieu of selling them on a car. I work in marketing and I know how rare it is to have a salesman who understands the appropriate ways to guide people through the sales process, and he’s got it. I knew what I was looking for in a used car but was dreading the visits to dealerships because of the trope of a “used car salesman” and their motivation of numbers. I didn’t have this experience with Chris and the dealership as a whole and I’m very thankful for that. He didn’t try to steer me towards a different car that had a higher price tag or needed to be moved, as I’ve experienced before at other places. I also had a good experience when it came to what was the scariest part for me: financing. I made mistakes when I was younger and while I had been rebuilding my credit for a while, I was worried about the hurdles in getting a loan. Chris and the staff knew I had a good down payment ready and they really pushed for me. I was approved, paid up and driving off the lot on the same day. Color me pleased. All of the staff I dealt with were informative, clear and concise in communication and continuously gauging what information I needed and what they would be able to help me with- I have zero complaints. I appreciate that I was able to purchase a really frickin’ nice used car for an amazing price (it was exactly what the Blue Book listed- dealers tend to jack up the price a bit due to their quality standards. So happy that VW stuck to kbb on this). I felt sure about making this big financial decision, and it was nice to write that check for the down payment without feeling cocerced or pushed in any way and I’m happy to recommend Chris as who to see about buying a car. More
