The review as indicated does not accurately depict the situation as it occurred. The client had been emailing the dealership about this specific vehicle for a number of weeks and finally called at 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 7th to establish an appointment to see the vehicle at 1:00 PM later that day. The client arrived to the dealership at 1:30 PM however, between the time they called for the appointment in the morning and their late arrival to the dealership, the vehicle was in the process of being sold to another client by Mr. Jenkins. Unfortunately, the appointment client did not have agreed upon purchase terms nor, did they want to leave a deposit on the car to hold the vehicle... because of this, the vehicle remained for sale and was in fact sold to another buyer who walked into the dealership and purchase the unit at the asking price. We do competitively price all vehicles in stock therefore, much consumer traffic is generated for our used car inventory... especially on a weekend sale day. This type of scenario does happen from time to time when no purchase commitment or deposit is provided by a perspective client... it would not be fair to the other party currently in the dealership wanting to purchase a car only to make them wait for another client to decide if they do/do not want the vehicle on an if-come basis. I can assure the client no one was doing anything that was misleading here... again, when the client called earlier in the day to see if the car was available, it absolutely was for sale. We did offer the client other Certified Pre-Owned Forester vehicle options however, they declined.Our normal procedure is for us to notify a client if a vehicle is pre-sold however, in this case there was no time since the other client was actively in store and purchasing the unit upon the appointment clients arrival. We do strive to do the right things each and every time but, we are human and some items are beyond our control. Thank you. Regards, Richard Cvijanovich Owner - Subaru Superstore
