I took my Subaru to them in September 2018 for an issue I was having with air flow in my car. They diagnosed it as needing a new A/C compressor, and while I wasn't able to afford the new part at the time, I eventually did get it replaced when I was back in Nebraska at a different dealership. It turns out the A/C compressor wasn't the part that actually needed to be replaced, as the issue continued even after repairs. The cost of the A/C Compressor I had replaced totaled almost $1,200, and it turned out to be completely unnecessary. The issue I was having was sporadic, and I hadn't had any issues with it until a couple weeks ago. I brought it back to the dealership here in Vegas in June 2019 and told them what had happened. Even though I didn't get the Compressor replaced with them, they offered to replace the correct part free of charge, and refund the diagnostic fee I had previously paid, even though they had no financial incentive to do so. The employee who originally told me to replace the A/C Compressor was no longer working there. This time I worked with Russell Shan, and he went above and beyond to help me out. I can't say enough good things about Russell. More
Not the best service experience. I recently bought a new 2019 Forester and added a hitch to the purchase. I was promptly notified by the parts department when the hitch came in and scheduled an appointment with the service department to have it installed. I dropped the car off to have the unit installed, have window tinting installed, and have the rear lift gate switch fixed. I came back later that day to pick up my vehicle and stopped by the service writers area and one of the writers handed me my paperwork and told me to go to the cashiers desk over by the parts area. I went over to the cashier and gave her my name and she handed me my invoice and called for the car to be brought out, nothing more was said so I asked what do I do now? do I go back to the service area or do I wait here, no you go back to the service area. So I went back to the area where you drop off your car and waited. In the mean time I'm watching one of the lot porters take a car through the automatic car washer and bring it up to the area I was standing and went into the service writers area and one of the service writers comes out with the car owner and the owner drives away. A few minutes I see the porter take another car through the car washer and bring up that car and park it over by where I'm standing. I'm starting to think they forgot about bringing my car out. A few minutes later I see a vehicle that looks like mine get pulled out from the back lot area and pulls up to the service drop off area and parks, ok that's my car, so I start walking around to the back to see the hitch installation and the porter asks to see my paperwork so I show him and he hands me the key and say have a good day. So I'm looking at the hitch and check to make sure the rear lift gate switch was fixed which it was. So I pulled the car out over to the parking area and read the invoice and on the invoice it said they washed my car, well my car was filthy, dirty and covered with water spots, had to use the windshield washer to clean the windshield so I could see out. So my wife looks at the car and immediately calls the service line about the condition of the car, whoever talked to her said that it had rained earlier in the day so they didn't wash the car, funny thing though the sky was blue, no clouds, and I just watch the porter wash 2 others cars and drop them off but not ours for some reason, anyway the service person says anytime you are in the area just bring it in. We are sitting in the parking lot HELLO! At this point I'll just go home and wash it myself. Now back to the hitch that was installed, the hitch does not come with a ball mount, it is sold separately, at no time did anyone ask me about or offer to sell me a ball mount, at no time was I ever asked from the time we purchased the car to the time they installed the hitch, huge missed opportunity. So I went and purchased a ball mount from somewhere else since the dealer was not interested. I purchased a service contract with the car and since this is the only Subaru dealership in town I will bring the car in for service when needed since it was paid for but I would not if I hadn't purchased the service contract. Very disappointed. More

Visit 1: I was told that I couldn’t purchase one new tire and had to replace all four because uneven wear would damage the differentials. Once they found out they were paying for the tire, they could all of a sudden only replace one. Visit 2: I asked them to look at a slow leak in a tire. They marked the tire and again said I had to replace all four. I decided to have the tire repaired and they did and oil change and a “tire rotation” however the marked tire stayed in the same place. Visit 3: Went to replace all four tires and was told my Equity Shield wouldn’t cover them due to wear. After showing them that two tires had nails in them and they said they cannot replace tires due to wear. This is our third consecutive new Subaru and, because of the service headache at SLV, unfortunately our last. More

I took my car in for an oil leak and they diagnosed it as a faulting pcv. The qoute was a little high for my budget so I decided to buy the parts and do the work myself. After replacing the pcv, I discovered that it was not saturated with oil. I was less than pleased and decided to write Subura to let them know of the issue they have caused me. The service manager made sure that I was taken care of. He had me bring my car back into Subaru and made sure that my WRX was fixed. I can not say enough about this dealership. They will do whatever it takes to make sure your vehicle is safe and sound. More

Told to **** off... caught on dashcam I have been experiencing random squeak while driving in gear or without (neutral) around 30-40mph. Usually it stops as soon as I tap on the brakes. I I have been experiencing random squeak while driving in gear or without (neutral) around 30-40mph. Usually it stops as soon as I tap on the brakes. I scheduled an appointment with Subaru of Las Vegas to have it checked out. I spoke to the service advisor and agreed to also perform a 12k service except for oil change and cabin filter as I do that myself. The service advisor assured me that they would do a thorough inspection of the brakes/rotors while they perform the 12k service and tire rotations. I drop the car of at 9:30am and by 11:08 they brought the car. The advisor mentioned they couldn’t get the noise to come up during the test drive but assured me that the brakes/rotors was inspected and cleaned. Half way home I end up with the same annoying noise. I got home and while reviewing my dash cam I discover that nothing was done. They had my car in the bay for about 15 minutes. What got me more upset is the comments I heard from the technician. One of the technician in the background tells the other tech that just completed the test drive “**** it, Daniel say’s **** this guy we aren’t doing it and they don’t give a ****”. He goes on saying “The only one that will complain is Cameron.”. (Service Advisor). My car was in the bay for a total of 15 minutes. Reviewing further recordings proves that nothing was done. Everything stated in the work order was a complete lie. I will not be bringing my car back. I can’t trust Subaru of Las Vegas. Not to mention that they left grease stains all over my car. More

When I got home I looked under the hood and there was a gob of black oil soaked dust in the tray at the bottom of the oil filter. The engine oil was over filled. The oil on the dipstick is a brown color. I then wondered if the wheel nuts were torqued correctly. Some were so tight on the left side of the car I had to use a breaker bar to loosen them. The right front and right rear wheels each had a loose nut (the anti theft lug nut). I set them to them all to the proper torque. I have two or three "free" oil changes coming. I prefer to do the work myself. I am requesting oil and filters for these oil changes. I plan to rotate the tires every 10,000 miles myself. I will continue to bring the car in for inspections or other service. Thanks, KB More

Last week, it was time for the "Little Red Wagon" (2006 Impreza) 75k service to be done. I was pleased with how easy it was to get an appointment, and how prompt the work was completed. Based on my experience with other dealerships, I always expect some kind of service-advisor-dramatic-horror-story-upsell, in an effort to scare money out of my pocket and into theirs...but NOT here! Mike advised me of a CV axle boot tear, by showing me actual video footage of the issue on my car. I was expecting the "your car is falling apart" song-and-dance, but instead Mike's video showed the real issue. He explained how minor this issue was, by showing me youtube footage of severe CV axle boot issues. Seeing the contrast, put my mind at ease, and showed Mike's excellent character. He explained that, based on my driving habits, I have months before this becomes a much larger concern. Mike said, "As a loyal sales and service customer, here's a quote I've prepared just for you." Now, I've heard sales pitches before, but after taking the time today to call other service departments and get a few quotes, it turns out, Mike spoiled me. That's why I'm writing this review, and booking my next appointment at Subaru of Las Vegas. Excellent service, integrity in upsells, competitive pricing...and on site loaner cars too! Thanks to the general manager, Burton Hughes, for employing people like Mike that take such good care of customers! 10 Stars! More
