free oil change cost me $341.26 I am 81 years old, .went for my "free" oil change. I am only here in Florida for 6 months, so my 2001 Lincoln Continental that I purchased in Nov. of I am 81 years old, .went for my "free" oil change. I am only here in Florida for 6 months, so my 2001 Lincoln Continental that I purchased in Nov. of 2018, only gets used for these 6 months. I do not drive much and put very few miles on it. Since I do not go on US 19 unless I have to, I got my complete car tuned up, it was running rough, at a car service in my area. When I went to Subaru, the guy told me there was safety issues and my brakes and steering could go out at anytime. I was scared and told him to go ahead and flush them out, like he said needed to be done, Then I was told that I needed 2 new tires, they were bad on the inside! I said no,. When I bought the car, there was no warranty, but I was assured that it was a good running car. Last year, I spent a lot of money, the alarm would not shut off, couldn't get into my car without pushing the buttons on the side, I have no air conditioning, cannot afford to get it fixed, never was told anything was wrong with the car. This year it stalled 2 times and I lost all power. Thank the Lord, I was not on a busy road. Had to get a new fuel pump, 3 days after my flush at Subaru. Car lost all power again, so I took it to my local car repair and they put the new fuel pump in. So my "free" oil change cost me $341.26,. Last year I spent a lot of money thinking everything was ok. This year, since I have been here , which was Nov. 10th, I have spent a total of $1340.87, I am a widow and when I got the car, my husband had just died, I was in need of a car. I am living on SS and my savings. I have to fix the car, so I can use it, cannot afford another car, so I am pretty much at the hands of whatever the repairman tells me. I live in a 55 and older community with 542 units and I have told many people about how I was taken advantage of. I will no longer be coming for my "free" oil change and want nothing to do with Subaru. While I was waiting, they came in and told another older woman that she too had to have new tires and she told them to put them on. I feel I have been taken advantage of from the day I bought the car. It was what I could afford and I felt good when they said the car was very safe and should last me. Shame on Subaru, I will never go back and a lot of people have voiced the same opinion when I told them what happened. More
Great customer service, friendly and knowledgeable techs. That should be enough to write, I shouldn’t have to think up 25 words to compliment the service. That should be enough to write, I shouldn’t have to think up 25 words to compliment the service. More
