Shortly after driving my new car away from purchasing at this dealership, it began having significant mechanical problems, cutting power while driving which is largely considered to be unsafe. I gave this dealership the opportunity to handle the warranty work even though it's out of my way geographically. Given the positive sales experience I had, I expected service would take good care of me. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I took a drive with their technician and was able to demonstrate the issue. They wanted to get a Subaru engineer involved yet after 45+ days, the car still behaving badly, and me having to chase their service department for updates, I still had no appointment with an engineer. I contacted Subaru of America Customer Advocacy yet the dealership refused to work with them in helping me resolve the issue. Multiple documented messages left over several days for their service manager, Jerad, requesting information were not returned. Without information from service, Subaru could not render assistance to me. I went to general management to escalate but was stonewalled by them as well. The last straw was when the service manager wanted me to bring the car back because they needed to do additional investigation before the engineer would see the car. I suspect I was being manipulated and put off, they were not organized or interested enough to help, and I admit to simply disengaging at that point, sensibly choosing to work with another dealership to save myself further time and aggravation. Finally, the dealership I'm working with now can't find any documentation regarding the diagnostic work I had performed at Subaru of Puyallup in the national database yet I have time stamped and dated hard copies sent to me by their service manager. My experience with this dealership has proven to be professionally and ethically questionable.
