I just purchased a nearly-new used Forester at Subaru of Puyallup. It was the best car-buying experience that I have ever had, bar none. The dealership is clean, well-designed and has a family business yet professional feel to it. My sales contact, Mark Clark, is a true professional who obviously cares about his customers and what they want rather than pushing specials or pressuring me into some vehicle that didn't fit me. Never once did he "sell" me in the usual sense of the term. As a former sales manager for home furnishings and office supplies fields, I really appreciate his level of customer commitment and his willingness to listen and to understand his customers. After the sale, he introduced me to the service team and handed me over to Mike in financing. Financing has usually been a very unpleasant experience with lots of high-pressure add-on sales push, but not this time. Mike was great. He was friendly and he offered the add-ons in a way that made monetary sense to me and he accepted my choices about each with equanimity. I will happily recommend Subaru of Puyallup to anyone and everyone who will listen. I plan to have all my service done there, even though it is a 70-mile round trip for me. More

Mark & Shelly made a great team & made the buying process seamless! While I would recommend this dealership I would really be recommending them specifically! We had test-drove the car we were interested in a few months ago but wanted to do more research. When we decided to purchase we did the majority by phone and email (very convenient) and Mark came in on his day off (!) because that day was the best for us! More

My experience at Subaru of Puyallup was very impressive and professional. I worked with Mark Clark, who was extremley helpful for a first time car buyer. I was looking into either a Legacy or a Kia Optima, and professional. I worked with Mark Clark, who was extremley helpful for a first time car buyer. I was looking into either a Legacy or a Kia Optima, and I hit the Kia dealer before opening. So instead of waiting around to talk to a sales reap, I headed to the Subaru dealer. Mark came out right away, and quickly learned my situation. The prices on the Legacy are a little higher then on the Optima, so at first I was a little shy. However, Mark assured me we could make a deal. He got me in a car that he said we could make work on my budget, and we went for a spin. After the test drive, he asked if I had drove the Kia. I said no. He said, go drive that car, and make sure this is the right choice. After a very hostile visit to the Kia dealer in which I felt it was there way or why bother, I made my way back to Subaru to see what kind of deal Mark could swing. I came away with a 0.9% interest rate, and a monthly payment that easily fits the budget I had set. If you are looking for a Subaru, stop here and talk to Mark first. He will not back you in a corner, and wants to make sure you make the right decision for you. Even if that means buying other brands. More
I came in with codensation in my brake lights. They told me that it was common and that if I had anymore problems I shoud let them know. How can this be common? The guy I bought my car was very nice. I was looking for a Subaru, either Forester or Outback. As I was browsing in the lot, Mark Clark approached me and we started a conversation about my desire for a car. I was immediately impressed with Mark As I was browsing in the lot, Mark Clark approached me and we started a conversation about my desire for a car. I was immediately impressed with Mark because he did not start with the usual pressure tactics that are so common among sales representatives. He listened to what I had to say, answered my questions, was genuine and friendly, was obviously knowledgeable about his product, and most of all, was respectful of my time-frame for buying. As it turned out, my wife and I bought a loaner Forester that we are completely satisfied with. I asked Mark to give me a bottom line that would meet our budget and he was able to do so. The purchasing process was simplified and expedited by Mark and the rest of the staff. In addition, I had recommended a friend to Mark, and he went and saw him and bought a car from him. He was also very satisfied with Mark and his buying experience. Mark is a breath of fresh air in a profession (auto sales) that seems to working hard to clean up its reputation. I would recommend him to anybody. Mike Peluso Puyallup, WA More
We never thought we'd own a Subaru ! My husband has been taking cars apart and putting them back together for 40 years now. As we're approaching retirement, we decided to get a small SUV. My daughter-in-law taking cars apart and putting them back together for 40 years now. As we're approaching retirement, we decided to get a small SUV. My daughter-in-law suggested a Subaru. She loves her Subaru Outback, especially how it handles in the snowy weather. So we arrived at the Subaru dealership a bit apprehensively, where Dennis took us for a test drive, all the while no sales pressure, just, this is the car ...this is whats great about it...see what you think. The Subaru Forester pretty much sells itself. It's a great product, but it's the friendly service and professionalism that closed the deal. That includes the service department as well. They make everything right for you! If they had the man-power they'd probably make "house calls" ! However, Dennis calls every now and then to see how the car is doing. ( nice personal touch ) That was in 2009 that we bought our first Subaru. Unfortunately, we were hit by a drunk driver recently and had to get another car. Of course we went to Puyallup Subaru, and we're back on the road already with our new 2011 Subaru Forester. Thanks again to the staff at Puyallup Subaru. More

We had been browsing the local dealerships and not really finding a car that we were interested in. It didn't help that every car dealership we went to we greeted with a guy who was trying to get us into so finding a car that we were interested in. It didn't help that every car dealership we went to we greeted with a guy who was trying to get us into something when he hadn't even take the time to ask what we were looking for. That all changed when we walked into Harnish Subaru and met Dave Warmack. Dave wanted to actually get to know us and know what we were looking for. He was incredibly patient and worked hard to get us into a car that we wanted and one that he knew would work for us and our needs. He is a great salesman and a wonderful, genuine person - a far cry from your stereotypical car salesman. More
