I dealt with Steve Elich for the initial part of the process and then with Alfonze Hernandez for the financial part of the deal. I test drove a used 2014 Volkswagen Passat 1.8L Wolfburg edition and just bought it. They matched the market price and also helped me getting an awesome interest rate through my bank for financing. They explained all details clearly and answered all queries patiently. Also, once the buying process was complete, they ensured the car was cleaned, filled full-tank gas and provided me some key necessary information. It was an easy, seamless transaction and the entire process took about 2 to 3 hours. I strongly recommend anyone to visit Suburban Troy in case you are looking to buy a car. Go Blue!! More

service I recently took my VW BEETLE in for service because of an engine warning light. I had called 2 days prior to my appointment, stating my problem and a I recently took my VW BEETLE in for service because of an engine warning light. I had called 2 days prior to my appointment, stating my problem and also saying I would need a ride to work, saying where that would be. As soon as I drove in at 7:15am, the Service Consultant, Amir, Chaaban, said the car could not be seen until 8. I told him I was told to arrive exactly when I did. No problem for me, since I was leaving the car while their driver took me to work. Before I get into that, let me say that this consultant was rude. He began by telling me that he never liked the Beetle! He said he just did not like the look of it. Fine, he is allowed to have an opinion, but to put down a car model from a company that employs him just boggled my mind!! I then quipped that possibly my car was a lemon since it is yellow. He then went into an explanation of what a lemon really is...a problem has to occur 3 times before it gets that designation. I WAS KIDDING!! He truly does not now how to communicate with his customers. But it got worse!! As I was getting my ride to work, he was notifying my driver about another call but when he heard where I was going for my job, he stated - on speaker - that that was just too far. Now I told them where I worked, not to mention that at this time, I was in the car!! So...when the car was ready for pick-up, I was told I had to find my own ride to the dealership, which I did. When he turned over my key, he stated that he was sorry about not being able to get me, but that the DRIVER said it was too far. HE SAID IT WAS TOO FAR!! And to make matters worse, the following day, the same warning light came back on. Admittedly, this is not his fault, but believe me, I will not be returning to the dealership in Troy. In the past, the staff at the Farmington Hills location has treated me with kindness and respect. I chose Troy this past time thinking it would be more convenient for rides to and from work. Oh well...Another note, the car is under warranty, therefore no cost to me. More

We need to purchse a vehicle for his move and found a low milage pre-owned vehicle that was close to our budget. Speaking to Rob Risse over the phone from Canada we found him to be very professional. He took the time to provide all the details we needed to purchase the vehicle. He was extremely helpful and never rushed us or pressured us to complete the sale.We were at the same time dealing with several other dealerships in Michigan looking at similar vehicles. I found the other dealership vey pushy to complete the sale and also less informed about the products they were selling. Rob made the whole buying experience very stress free. We wired the money over and the vehicle was waiting for us when we arrived. The professional service we reiceved from Suburban Nissan of Troy was top class, Rob's was professional, attentive, and response. I would give this dealership 6 star out of 5 and would say if your looking for a new or pre-owned vehicle, Don't waste your time going anywhere else. ! More
Best experience ever!!! When I had about 10 months left on my lease several dealerships started calling me and sending me offers in the mail saying they wanted to buy my car. When I had about 10 months left on my lease several dealerships started calling me and sending me offers in the mail saying they wanted to buy my car. They said they would get me into a new lease on a car of equal value for a lower monthly payment or, at the very least, the same monthly payment I was making now. When I made the trip to meet with them, however, they all told me something quite different. They said the only way they would buy my car was if I agreed to a new lease on a car of lesser value with a higher monthly payment. They basically pulled the whole bait and switch routine with me. They even tried to pressure me into the deal by telling me I was absolutely going to exceed my allotted mileage and be charged an inordinate number of fees when I turned in my lease. Needless to say, I left each dealership very unsatisfied. One of these dealerships even had the audacity to call me back a few months later and make the same kind of promises they did the first time they called. Unfortunately, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and made the trip there again only to hear the same bait and switch routine they pulled on me the first time I was there. Fortunately, all this changed when I got in touch with Karl Trost at Suburban Volkswagen. Rather than make empty promises like the other dealerships’ salespeople, Karl just told me to come in and they would see what they could do about getting me into a new lease that was acceptable to my terms. He didn’t make any guarantees about anything. He said their only goal was for me to leave their dealership being satisfied with my experience, which is exactly what happened. Upon arriving at Suburban Volkswagen I was greeted by another salesperson, Mac Brown. Unlike other salespeople I have encountered he did not rush up to me trying to sell me a car before any of his colleagues. He simply approached me with a pleasant attitude and asked what he could do to assist me. When I told him I was there to see Karl he politely asked me to wait in the lobby while he went to locate Karl. Within seconds Mac returned with Karl. Karl was as equally polite and didn’t pressure me whatsoever. Rather than just try to sell me a car he took the time to listen to what I deemed were acceptable terms and he did everything he could do to accommodate those. In the end what this amounted to was Karl, his Sales Manager, Matt Griffith, and Finance Manager, Darren Nitz, getting me into a upgraded model of the car I wanted (which is an upgrade from my current car) for a monthly payment that was less than what I was currently paying. How they went out of their way to accommodate me and get me exactly what I wanted in such a short period of time was something I have never experienced before. Speaking of which, I can’t forget to mention how amazingly easy and enjoyable it was to work with Karl, Matt and Darren in finalizing and financing my new lease. I’m so used to dealing with Salespeople who are pushy, Sales Managers who try to play hardball and Finance Managers who make you feel foolish for not getting an extended warranty and service package that Karl, Matt and Darren were a welcome change. Overall, I would recommend Suburban Volkswagen to anyone looking to get a great deal on an excellent car while being treated fairly and not feeling pressured. This was my best car purchasing experiencing ever!!! Kudus to Karl, Mac, Matt and Darren at Suburban Volkswagen!!! It was great working with all of you!! More
