Bought a new 2015 Explorer loaded with extras; about 40 k. The buying process went ok. What spoiled the experience was the after sale extended warranties. I sat with a different guy , listened to his pitch on a number of after market, offered by third party sources (not Ford or Sunset). I initially agreed to some and asked if I could change my mind with a day or two and he said “no problem. He ran payment on my credit card. I went home and read over the brochures. The very next morning, by 9 am I called the guy selling the extra warranty plans and told him I decided to not go through with any of them. The car sale and after market warranty plans took place on a Friday afternoon. He said he would take care of canceling the sale. It took numerous phone calls, different excuses and almost 2 months to get a credit for the third party warranties and then only with a threat of going to management It REALLY soured me on Sunset Ford. I told myself then I would not buy another car from Sunset. Too bad because other than the warranty issue the deal was ok. John Hesser. More

Keith was super patient with me as I had no clue what I had wanted when I found out my original car wasn’t going to make it far. We made plans to meet in two days, it gave me time to research some of the c had wanted when I found out my original car wasn’t going to make it far. We made plans to meet in two days, it gave me time to research some of the cars that were available so I had somewhat of an idea when Friday came around. Luckily, Keith kinda worked backwards than normal and had offered me the car I already had an idea for, and even found it in another color since my partner wasn’t a fan of the white. Everyone was very kind and worked with us patiently and gave us what we asked for, I didn’t feel pressured not once which was my initial worry. Thank you again :) More
