We purchased a used 2011 Ford F150. After signing the paperwork we were told it had not been to the shop or detailed yet so we could not take it with us. I had paid in full already but we would have to come back. It took 6 days to get back when I was told it would just be the next day or 2. We picked it up and within 3 days noticed a horrible sound. This truck is being driven by a 16 yr old boy so wanted to make sure it was ok to drive. We had it towed back to the dealership. They said it was the Drive Shaft and it is not something that "had" to be fixed so that is why they did not fix in initial review before releasing to us. They made us pay the full $1,100 to have it fixed. The truck is still making the knocking sound when put in 4h so have to drive it only in 2H. Within another month we experienced another issue. This time with acceleration. My son lost full power to accelerate on the highway. That could have been very dangerous. Took it to Dobbs and they said the misfire was due to a bad Air Mass Sensor and also needed the VO air filter replaced since it was torn and falling apart. Another $620. Upon looking at my paperwork from the dealer the emissions test failed the first 2 times and was able to pass on a third try. I have the 2 failed attempts documented. Seems that a misfire could have made these 2 initial failures but instead of looking for the issue they just ran the test a third time to get it to pass. And now the truck will not start once again. No idea what it could be this time but it is clear that if the dealer had inspected the truck prior to selling it they could have and should have seen these costly repairs that needed to be completed and opted to auction it instead of fixing and selling. They obviously only fixed the few things that would make it fail the inspection and tossed it off as "it is used truck, things will break", but that should not be the case buying from a dealer and having this many issues this quickly. The actual words from the dealer on not helping to cover the drive shaft was "it wasn't a necessary issue that would cause the inspection not to pass so we didn't look into it to fix". Real nice customer service! I DO NOT recommend doing business with this company and will never be purchasing another vehicle from them. More
