DO BETTER!! As someone who has not ever written a review, it took me over a year (and a lot of convincing from my peers) to get to this point. Car buying is a st As someone who has not ever written a review, it took me over a year (and a lot of convincing from my peers) to get to this point. Car buying is a stress for most of us and my experience at Suntrup Hyundai only worsened that theory! I walked in to get service on my leased 2015 Genesis. (From another dealership) I then got a call about getting out of my lease as it was nearing it's term. I already had a conversation about what I was going to do, but wanted to hear Suntrup out. I told them that I had no interest in putting money down and I didn't want my payment to increase. They came back with a deal for a 2015 AWD Certified Pre-Owned Genesis. I was ok with that! What they didn't tell me was that they weren't including taxes, which would have obviously changed my payment! I've never bought a car that didn't have taxes rolled into the price and consequently, the payment. So when I went to the DMV to get tags and they told me I needed to pay $3200 to get my tags, needless to say, I WAS HOT!!! I called the Finance Manager, and when I finally got a response (days later) he told me there was nothing he could do! Also during that time, I discovered things with the car that were checked off by inspection, but NOT right with the car. I was told they'd "go half" with me to repair the shattered driver's side vanity mirror in the visor. SHATTERED... How do you even shatter that?? But four days into having the car, they told me that it was inspected and insinuated that I did it. I'm not paying half for something I didn't do. Since then, the car has been reliable in functionality, but terrible in aesthetics. From the mismatched parking lights (installed by Suntrup Service), to the body damage repair of the discolored bumper, to the passenger seat literally coming apart, this car has been an aesthetic nightmare for someone who loves and treats my cars VERY well! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Suntrup Hyundai to anyone! and I can't wait to get out of this vehicle. It's one thing to be sold, it's another thing to be taken advantage of with dishonesty and poor business ethics. The best part about Suntrup is the cashier in the service department. Too bad I only see her when I'm forking over money. DO BETTER!!! More
I love Suntrup Hyundai! My sisters, mom, and I all got our cars from here and I just went in for my service yesterday and it was so easy. Brett was wonderful! Listened carefully to what I wanted and my price range. He only showed me cars that met my needs, and never tried to pressure me whatsoever. Very personable. Those guys were wonderful, went so far out of their way to help me and sold me my car in a manner in which no one will forget! Never laughed so much buying a car!
