Nick took 12 days to fix a flat tire. I'd brought my car in for an appointment because the check engine light was on and asked if they also had time to see what was going on with my tire. After 45 min I reached out to him and he said he needed to talk with me. I returned to the service area and was told he was giving me a rental car because they needed to order a part that he hoped would arrive in 5 days . I asked if they had looked at my tire and was told the technician was taking care of it at the moment and I would get a video of the work that was done. When I hadn't heard anything I contacted him later in the day and was told the technician had left for the day and he would get back with me the next day. I never heard back and figured it had been repaired under some type of road hazard warranty. 5 days later I contacted Nick to ask if the part had arrived and was told no, he would let me know when it came in. 8 days later I texted again and heard nothing. 11 days later and Nick wasn't answering my text or phone calls, so I called the service manager to ask if he could get info on my car for me. Later that day, Nick finally called to say the part was in and the repair was being made. I asked again about my tire. He then tells me the nail was in the side of the tire and I need to replace it with a new tire and he has to order the tire. What?!?!?!?!? You've had my car for 11 days and you haven't even fixed my tire? Finally at 5pm on the 12th day he calls to tell me my car is ready. He NEVER apologized, never responded until I contacted him first, never sent me a video of any repair and, they had it for 12 DAYS and couldn't even make an effort to run it through the car wash. You better believe Nick will NEVER be my advisor again! More

Be aware that this dealer no longer will do walk in oil changes even though their mailed advertisements note that they have express service. Back when I bought my Hyundai they told me if I get my oil chan changes even though their mailed advertisements note that they have express service. Back when I bought my Hyundai they told me if I get my oil changes and tire rotations there, I would get a life time warranty on my engine and power train. So for the last 10 years I have done walk in oil changes. Unfortunately my job has rotating hours and I do not know my hours for the coming week until the Thursday prior. To make matters worse they are booked out on oil changes for so long in advance that I will never be able to schedule an oil change because it will be too late and no appointments will be available. Bottom line that warranty also has milage maximums, so if I drive too far between changes or go on an unexpected trip, I could exceeded the milage maximums and therefore lose the warranty. So again my inability to get a walk in wait appointment could cause me to void my warranty. And if I go anywhere else to do that oil change, that will oil change will not be recognized by Suntrup and will void the extended warranty. So essentially Suntrup has pretty much eliminated the eligibility of group of people who have this warranty by not offering their express service making it virtually impossible to make timely appointments. In a recent engine recall Hyundai sent me a letter and noted that it would take one hour for a dealer to inspect my car and make a computer change. It also noted that if my car was found to be one of the affected models with a bad engine, the car would be kept for a few days while a new motor would be installed and supply me with a car. I called Suntrup and made an appointment and told the person I talked to that I was going to wait for the car. I showed up my appointment day and time and reminded the advisor that I was going to wait for the car. He then notified me that I would have to leave my car for 4 days. I noted I could not do that since I had no way home. I told the advisor that I had an appointment and was told I could wait for the 1 hour check and computer update. I was then told that the person I talked to was wrong. I responded I would take the car to another Hyundai dealer. The advisor said good luck because no dealer in town was offering wait for service for that recall. I came home and called the Dean Team Hyundai dealer on Manchester road. They made an appointment, and told me I could wait. On the day of the appointment the service advisor noted that there should be no problem for waiting, and laughed at what I was told from Suntrup. As it ended up my car was checked and the computer update was done in 45 minutes of my arrival. Personally from a service standpoint the Suntrup dealership seems to have a much different philosophy regarding their customers than other Hyundai dealerships and I'd advise potential customers to steer clear. I called Hyundai and they said they don't get involved with this type of issue. They said contact the dealership management. I sent them an email and never received a response. More
