Hi Jwayne, Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We understand how disappointing it can be when a repair isn’t covered, and we appreciate the chance to clarify the situation. When you purchased the vehicle, it was already 5 years old with 85,000 miles, and the extended service contract you selected included 48,000 miles of additional coverage or a set number of months—whichever came first. Although you still had 21 months remaining, the contract had already expired because the mileage limit had been exceeded. At the time of your recent visit, the vehicle had accumulated more than 50,000 additional miles since the purchase. It’s important to note that mileage-based contracts end automatically once the mileage cap is passed, regardless of time remaining. Because mileage usage varies from customer to customer, we are not able to track how quickly a vehicle will reach that limit. For this reason, it is the customer’s responsibility to be aware of how many miles remain before the contract expires. Once the vehicle arrived for service, we verified the mileage and explained the necessary repairs along with the estimate. We understand this was disappointing news, and we are more than willing to review the repair options with you to help determine the best and most cost-effective path forward.
