I’ve been servicing my car at Toyota of Braintree for many years, but after what I’ve experienced recently, I honestly don’t trust this place anymore. A couple of months ago, my car suddenly wouldn’t many years, but after what I’ve experienced recently, I honestly don’t trust this place anymore. A couple of months ago, my car suddenly wouldn’t start in a Walmart parking lot. I had it towed straight to Toyota of Braintree, since they’ve always done my service. They had to jump-start the car just to bring it into the shop — but after checking it, they told me everything was fine. The paperwork even said the battery “passed.” That didn’t sit right with me, but I took the car back. Good thing I trusted my gut. My husband and I immediately brought the car to a small local shop, and they tested the battery and said it was failing and needed to be replaced. We replaced it there, and the car has been perfectly fine ever since. So Toyota completely missed a bad battery — something that had already left me stranded once. Fast forward to today: I went in for an oil change. They recommended a few things, including replacing my key fob battery. I declined because my husband can do it. When they brought my car out, suddenly the dashboard says “Key Not Detected.” I went back inside, and an advisor told me it was because my key fob battery was weak. So I went to the Parts Department to replace it. The staff there tested my key battery with a machine — and showed me it was totally fine. Not weak at all. No issues. When I went back to ask the advisor what was really going on, I didn’t get any real answers. All they said was that if I wanted to find out what’s wrong with the key, I’d have to pay $175 for diagnostics. No thanks. At this point, I don’t believe they would actually figure it out anyway. So in just two visits: • They missed a failing car battery that another shop found instantly • They recommended a key fob battery that wasn’t even bad • I got conflicting information from different departments This is honestly ridiculous. I have all the paperwork and receipts to prove everything. I’ve been loyal to this dealership for years, but the quality and honesty of the service have gone downhill. I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be bringing my car back here anymore. More

Three times I've brought my vehicle in for service and each time was a total hassle, getting argued with about validity of need for service, poor com Three times I've brought my vehicle in for service and each time was a total hassle, getting argued with about validity of need for service, poor communication, and this time they had my car for the whole day (after I had made the specific service appt a week prior) only to find out when I called (they never called me) that they had forgotten to order the right parts for the work and wanted to hold my car for another day?! I immediately picked it up instead and brought it to Tasca Toyota and they did the whole thing the very next day...super-friendly...even picking up my vehicle FOR FREE from home and dropping it off 4hrs later after the work was completed! Tasca YES! Toyota of Braintree xxxx NO!! More
I've had five experiences with this Service Dept after, regrettably now, having purchhased a new Toyota from them just last year. All of the Service Reps are rude and argumentative about any issues that might fall under warranty, denying that you have a problem despite you pointing right at it. You have to stand your ground to get problems addressed but I will never return here after they acknowledged a defect I pointed out but said they won't fix it because the defect is known across other years of the same model??? xxx!?! Don't give Toyota of Braintree ANY business unless you want a headache! More
Took car in for an inspection sticker and was issued a failed sticker, told need $1,800 repair work for loose control arms to pass inspection. Took car to 2 other repair shops, told nothing wrong with control arms. This is called rob customers when you can. We brought the car from this dealership as well. Beware people, make sure the repairs they tell you need is really a repair that is needed!! This may not be the fault of the Advisor but the mechanic who worked on the car. More

I just had my car serviced this week. I am amazed at the quality of the service. I had a frozen caliper and they had the parts ordered and my car fixed in a few hours. Their effort and co I am amazed at the quality of the service. I had a frozen caliper and they had the parts ordered and my car fixed in a few hours. Their effort and commitment to their jobs is incredible! The customer service quality is also amazing, I was welcomed and they prioritized all my needs!
