I live 5 hours from Des Moines in NE South Dakota and contacted a number of dealers. There were several good honest small guys that didn't have a high enough volumn to be sure that they would be allocat contacted a number of dealers. In Sioux Falls and Omaha I found dealers that marked up the price by huge amounts or loaded on thousands in paint treatments or other "fluff" options. Steve Henigan, internet sales at Toyota of Des Moines, did a great job. In my initial call I told him what Tacoma I wanted and he said he thought it was doable. He guessed 5 to 7 months and gave me the price. I sent my ID and a small deposit. Steve kept me updated a couple times a month and at 5 months told me they were allocated a similar vehicle. I had the option of taking that one or waiting for the exact one we had talked about initially. I decided to take this one, Steve kept me posted as to shipment status. The actual sale was flawless with no hick-ups, pressure or BS. Orientation was thorough and patient. I had my truck in 6 months just as Steve had estimated. A great car buying experience. More

My visit to the dealership was simple, I needed an oil change and a tire rotation. The whole process went relatively quick, it seemed like maybe 45 minutes passed and it was all done. It would have been nice if the service “”advisor” had “advised” me that it had been recommended I get a new engine filter. Instead I left thinking everything was fine. 15-20 minutes after I left I receiv “advised” me that it had been recommended I get a new engine filter.
