I used CarBargains.com to negotiate with 10 dealers in central Iowa to find the best price on a 2011 Highlander SE AWD. Based on research I had done, I received the best price available within $100 in ou central Iowa to find the best price on a 2011 Highlander SE AWD. Based on research I had done, I received the best price available within $100 in our area for recent sales. Toyota of Des Moines had the best quote bid. (The highest bid was over $800 higher) I called the dealership on a Wednesday to inquire that they still had the exact Highlander we wanted. Scott Jenkins worked with me on the deal. Scott called back a short time later and indicated they did and we confirmed the CarBargains.com price over the phone then. He was very professional, polite and easy to work with. We setup a time on Friday to look at the vehicle and test drive it. Scott offered us what CarBargains indicated our trade-in was worth - no haggling or hassle. We then set an appointment on Saturday afternoon to pick up the Highlander. Larry Middleton in finance was helpful, too. He was able to locate us a loan at a lower rate than the rock bottom credit union offer we had - plus we got to keep the rebate! Scott gave us a tour of the dealership and answered all our questions. This was the best car buying experience ever! We love our new Highlander and look forward to receiving more great service from Toyota of Des Moines! More

In over 35 years of buying cars, I've never had a dealer have someone take the time to make sure I understood the operations of the car upon purchase. 3.) The Sales associate was knowledgable and friendly and didn't try any of the shady games I've encountered at some other dealers. 4. Even though there was short supply of Prius's available, I didn't feel pressured by the sales associate. 5.) For one, we never had the bluetooth set up in the Highlander until we bought the Rav4. They set that up for us at the time I picked up the Rav4. We purchased an Avalon in '03 from this dealership and have had EXCELLENT service since then.
