Sh I came to look at perticuler vehicle. Made arangmnets online with jamie Wheeler was the best. She greeted me at the door. I explained my situation. She was like hey, no problem. I asked if I could show the car to my wife. She was like sure. Filled out a quick form. And she was like heres the keys. Go show her. I couldn't believe they woukd just let me take the car. But they did. Took the car home. The wife looked at it. Drove it around a bit. Liked it. She came back with me to the dealership. We talked about credit. I have some issures. Have been turned down in the past. They were very nice. Gave us some financing options. We picked one. PaperWork about an hour. Filled the tank and we were on our way. Was a very nice car buying experience. More

A good experience and bonus...they saved us money! We live in Springfield Oregon and were shopping around for a new Camry. We compared the figures to what Toyota of Gladstone offered and found that we could save ourself at least two thousand dollars or more. It was worth driving two hours for the savings but there was truly a difference in the shopping experience. From the moment that we sat down and offered coffee, water or a cold drink, we realized that this was our new normal. Working with Eric Kalik was easy and no pressure. Very personable and real. He would lay out the facts, both pro and con and allow us to make decisions which fit our needs rather then his. Gladstone had a wider selection of cars where we were able to find a car that fit our needs and style. Finally, working with Bryan Dowd, the Finance Manager was a good experience. There were lots of decisions to be made as to coverages and add on's. Bryan was able to lay out the facts in a clear, easy to understand manner and allowed us to make our choices as to what was right for us. He even called us the following day with a method on financing that would save us over $2700 which was a pleasant surprise. Overall we found the Dealership to be willing to work with us. Able to make rational decisions which made our lives easier. Buying any car is stressful but Eric and company were able to smooth out the bumps. We will be back for our next car. More
Helpful, Flexible, and Aggressively Competitive on Price We just completed our purchase yesterday (Tuesday) and we could not be more pleased with Denis Russu and his team. We contacted every Toyota Dealersh We just completed our purchase yesterday (Tuesday) and we could not be more pleased with Denis Russu and his team. We contacted every Toyota Dealership in the area and in the end only Gladstone and Tonkin lived up to their promises of working hard to offer us the best deal. Denis contacted us promptly after we reached out through the quote button on Toyota.com. He was quick to adapt his approach when we requested that we maintain communications through email (the best way to fit my busy life and to share accurate info with my wife). Denis provided a decent initial quote, but he and Toyota of Gladstone truly showed their colors when I asked them to see if they could beat a quote from Tonkin Toyota. Denis had Sunday and Monday off, but his managers (Seth Dustin & Charity Graff) picked up and handled my requests seamlessly. I was very impressed that they consistently kept up with my requests and the momentum of where we were headed. Tuesday morning I sent Denis the offer from Tonkin that we felt we would be taking. To our pleasant surprise Denis and his management took us very seriously and came up with a great price with the add-ons we wanted for free. On top of it all Denis drove to our home to pick us up and bring us to the dealership. He was friendly and courteous. At our request he worked through the sales process quickly. Denis and the finance gentleman (Dolf Nuno) kindly accepted our decline of their upgrades or warrantees without any annoying pushing. All in all, the whole process was smooth and relatively quick. Everything was as promised via email. The car and options were exactly as described. The out the door costs were exactly as detailed via email. In short, we are very pleased with our decision and we will return to Denis and Toyota of Gladstone for our next purchase. More

Usual Sales Tactics - Be Prepared I came in to test drive a Highlander and get a trade-in estimate on my old van. Salesperson was friendly and helpful for the most part. It was difficu I came in to test drive a Highlander and get a trade-in estimate on my old van. Salesperson was friendly and helpful for the most part. It was difficult getting any kind of break down of the different packages available. I had to go online to check. Once he had me down to my pick on packages and colors, the pricing discussions began. I wasn't sure if I'd lease or purchase when I came in, but the rates on purchase weren't impressive. When they show you the lease option, understand what you are looking at. They list the car price (MSRP), the amount they will give you for trade-in, a rate/factor for the financing (which you need to understand as it is not displayed as APR like loans), a price for the residual, the taxes and fees, any down payment required, and a lease payment amount. Then the negotiations begin. Do NOT focus on the payment amount. Be sure you are getting the right price, the right trade in value, and right money factor rate. Know what the incentive deals are. For mine, it was $4k down, $309 month. But they started WAY higher than that. Be prepared to walk away. They also put a second sales person (manager) with you. It takes a LONG time. Once we agreed on basic terms, they had to find a car that fit my requirements of colors and options. The only one they found was in southern Oregon and had a hitch that I would have to pay for. With MSRP, you can negotiate down. They will bring you a form that shows they are only making a small fraction on the vehicle. It's BS. They get other incentives and I don't think those forms are even real. I agreed to the terms again, then the real paperwork began (after more waiting). As the finance department did the paperwork, some things weren't adding up. The car wouldn't be in until the next day, but they wanted to finish up - it was 9pm, almost 5 hours after I arrived. I signed the paperwork, but wasn't confident. The finance guy said we'd go over it all in the morning. The sale isn't final until you drive off. But, there is NO cooling off period with leases. As I replayed the numbers in my mind when I got home, something was definitely off. I printed what I'd seen online and brought it in with me the next day. That led to a whole new round of discussions. The sales manager even gave me a line about "The numbers being too difficult to understand." Not a cool thing to say to a woman. I understood the math. I just needed to see where they added in new costs. I also wasn't happy with the trade-in price, so suggested we just take it off and I pay cash. I knew the trade in was good for them as it was a Toyota van that showed well, never had an accident, and had relatively low mileage. Long story short, they had to adjust everything down $1800 and increase the trade-in value (again!) to KBB high trade-in value. That got me to the advertised promotional rate and a fair trade-in amount. The other thing they try to sell is the Gap insurance. It is good to have if you are leasing a high value vehicle with low a low down payment. But, most experts advise not buying it from the dealership. Do the research on that one. They quoted me $995 for the 3 years which added about $27 to the payments. BOTTOM LINE - do your homework, know you will be there for awhile, and be ready to walk away. Read up on sales negotiation tactics used by car dealers. Gladstone was not high pressure or pushy, but you do have to watch the numbers. More
