This was the easiest new car buying experience ever. I had to conduct the negotiating via email. At the time, I only had a bike to get around and was going out of town a lot for work. The other dealers either lied to me, got impatient, or kept saying, "I don't have what you've asked for, but what I do have is.....". Scott was very professional and didn't try to talk me into a car I didn't want. We agreed on the price online. When I came to check out the car, Jay handed over the key and let me drive it without a sales person in the car. I didn't even have to ask. I bought the car and brought it home that day. We had originally set up an appointment with Seth for later in the day, but requested a change to an earlier time. That request was met and Seth had done his homework by the time we arrived. He already had a vehicle available that most nearly matched our needs when we arrived. This turned out to be the vehicle we purchased. After showing the first vehicle to us, he showed us others that were similar. The entire process was conducted in a very courteous manner with no undue pressure, which we abhor and probably would not have tolerated. After taking delivery of the vehicle and on the way home, we discovered a chip in the windshield. We were able to return the next day and the chip was repaired at no cost. The only occasion during which we were pressured was during the processing of the paperwork in the business office. The person with whom we worked was very courteous and pleasant to work with in every way. However, the sales pitch for the extended service contract was pretty intense. We had to say "no" over and over again to navigate this portion of the process. We got the distinct impression, however, that the person making the presentation was under extreme pressure from above to sell the contract. This was the only negative part of our purchase experience with Toyota of Gladstone. More
