Hi klhla, We understand you are frustrated and concerned regarding the repairs needed for your Prius. Unfortunately, after an extensive diagnostic of your vehicle that we assisted you with free of charge, we found the following issues: Impact damage to right front suspension components. There is a damaged right front lower control arm, right front knuckle assembly, and right front hub & bearing. Worn-out front struts, upper supports, and covers. Possible rack & pinion and outer tie rod end. Possible frame or subframe damage. New right front aftermarket wheel. These concerns all point to an accident. Therefore, we contacted your insurance company on your behalf to involve them in a possible supplemental case stemming from a previous accident. Unfortunately, after an inspection by your insurance company, they declined assistance after comparing the last accident pictures with the current images, indicating fresh impact damage underneath the vehicle. What you're saying is nothing that I don't already know.. My issue is that no one there made any effort to help me resolve any issue outside of an insurance claim that I was not going to file in the 1st place.. Regardless of the cause of the damage I was driving an unsafe car and you told me that my car had a cracked block When it only needed a water pump wrong diagnosis.. No effort was made to work with me about replacing the Steering control arm. At the time that I was there All I wanted was to get help in getting my car repaired so it was safe and drivable. Because you determined the damage was done due to an accident is not a reason to turn me away.

According to the insurance adjuster the damage that you Are speaking of Could have been the result of a pothole.. I'm not filing an insurance claim and pay a $1000 deductible because of a pothole doesn't have a pot hole. Just in the fact that your mechanic could not determine the difference between a water pump replacement and a cracked block is bad customer service it's. He didn't even do the necessary test that was supposed to be done the day I was there on August 30th. All this was arranged by phone when I scheduled the service appt. There was NO internal fluid leakage into the engine as he said and did not do the proper test to determine that. This was determined from his years of experience. Went to another mechanic and Within one hour did a diagnostic test nastic test and told me the source of the problem which was a faulty water pump.
