Before I took it off the lot, I noticed that the wiring to the rear view mirror wasn't attached and the interior lights didn't work. I brought it to the attention of the service manager before I left and they scheduled an appointment to get it fixed. At the appointment, they told me that they needed to order a part to fix it and that it might be a couple weeks before it arrives. I called at the start of February and they said it wasn't in yet. I called at the start of March and couldn't get a hold of anyone at the service desk, so I left a message for the manager. I called at the start of April and spoke with someone at the parts desk, who forwarded me to the service manager, who guess what... didn't pick up. I left another message explaining what I was experiencing. No call back. I've spent too many hours trying get in contact with someone for the last 6 months, have left countless messages for the service manager (who I'm not convinced exists at this point) wanting to schedule an appointment to get my interior lights fixed. This is something that should have been taken care of within a month. I don't understand how they can treat a customer who spent $20k+ on a car at their dealership with this level of neglect. The only reason I'm giving them two stars instead of one, is because the sales agent who helped me was awesome. If you buy a new or used car from here, beware. If something goes wrong, you will have a terrible time trying to get it fixed from this place. More

Though I would be happy with the vehicle if I could drive it, I am severely displeased with the ongoing process of getting my vehicle's registration. (Sale's date was the 4th of March). All fee's and taxes were all ready paid. It is now June 8th, that's 97 Days. Unacceptable. The shutdown of the state due to covid 19 was 3/28/20, my temporary registration was expired 3/24/20. Not sure what was going on here, but I am more than understanding about the Covid virus shutdown, but it's hard for me to believe that even given the shutdown it would take this long. This is my only mode of transportation and the temporary registration plate is no longer legible. The state of Rhode Island has sent two notices of insurance varification due to the fact that they didn't take "the trade in vehicle's plates off before sending the vehicle to the auction" I have made multiple calls over the last two months to my salesman (Juan), Business manager (Nicole Charbotji), and Sales manager (Natalie Simoneau) to expedite this process with no success. I have also Emailed General manager (John Durrani) a very disappointing email that went unanswered, but did receive a phone call from the General sales manager (Mo Durrani) asking me about an insurance block from the DMV, in which I replied that the ownership of this issue lies with them, and they need to fix this in a timely manner. He agreed, but I have yet to hear back from anyone. Nearing 100 days to get a vehicle registered, is absurd at best, but more importantly if I get pulled over in this vehicle, it will be towed at my expense not theirs. This dealership is branding itself as "peace of mind" unfortunately I don't see this, and I am not going to spread a good word to my friends and family to purchase from this dealership. More
excellent experience I worked with Nick Cabrerra to buy a new car and I really could not be happier with my experience in spite of social distancing and PPE all around. Ca I worked with Nick Cabrerra to buy a new car and I really could not be happier with my experience in spite of social distancing and PPE all around. Called for an appointment and after several meetings and multiple test drives, the car I was in love with was not in inventory. I pledged by deal with a little deposit and a few days later we made a satisfactory deal on the object of my desire. Thanks Nick and Abed and Annie and the Manager who's name I cannot recall. Stellar service all around. Bravo! if you need a new whip(kids slang)go see the folks in Smithfield across from the bird sanctuary. More

I was told by James Forte that he will mail it to me. On January 18th, I emailed James that I still have not received my paperwork, and he emailed me back the following. Sat, Jan 18, 9:38 PM to me Joseph, I will mail it out to you. I will have it printed on Monday. Well its now February 3rd, and I still have no paperwork from Toyota of Smithfield. I contacted the Rhode Island DMV, dealership licensing board and filed a complaint against Toyota of Smithfield. "Bill of sale. Should have dealership address and license number on it. The address should be the location where the vehicle is located, and all paperwork filled out, with the agreed price on the bill of sale." More

I had a bad feeling the whole time we talked to the sales person or the finance manager (who turns out to NOT be the finance manager but in turn is the Sales Manager). He was extremely rude, lied frequently, and was condescending. We waited for 3/4 hours for anything back from the "finance" department and eventually left. They called 5 days later wanting us back in the office but we got no response for an appointment after emails and calls. Evidently, we are not purchasing the vehicle nor ever doing business there again. They are definitely a "shady" dealer, money hungry with their pricing and overall horrible communication. More
