Came in for check engine light and told that two codes came up during initial diagnosis, cylinder injector problem and coolant bypass valve problem, but after clearing only one came back. We agreed to f came up during initial diagnosis, cylinder injector problem and coolant bypass valve problem, but after clearing only one came back. We agreed to fix the problem with coolant bypass valve which is the easiest of the two problems at the original diagnosis. Thought my PowerTrain warranty would cover these services, but come to find out not part of PowerTrain warranty ???? The price is not cheap to fix the coolant bypass valve and I could have done it at cheaper price. But we are there already thought it would be convenient to get it fix there at the dealer. After waiting for almost two hours to get the original diagnosis and we had appointment too. Our consultant was very nice and attentive. He told us that it would take 2 hours to fix the coolant bypass and gave us a rental so we could leave to get something to eat. Came back to pick up my car and noticed the check engine is still on…. Yet the paper that they gave me at checkout stating that “replaced coolant bypass valve and TEST DROVE. NO LIGHT”. I haven’t even drove out the parking lot. Very disappointed!! My consultant did a quick check and found cylinder injector code still there , and it would cost me $575 for diagnosis of my injector… wow! Not going back! More
