Efficient oil change. Tech broke my oil filter cap, then made a grand gesture to show me it and manager wanted $280 to replace this $20 part (Amazon.com). Tech also recommended brake fluid change and drive belt change. Drive belt shows no ware and is only 30-40k miles (but he wouldn’t know this). Brake fluid looks clear, had this done 20k miles ago, also not at Toyota. I asked the service manager if I could walk down to Autozone and pick up an oil filter cap and he said no, he won’t allow install of after market. This Toyota team made a substantial effort to rip me off. They should both be fired, but maybe Toyota of Tampa bay has now resorted to these predatory practices. More
