Needed parts - Paul Zion is the "Go-to-Guy" Parts Department personnel rarely get any reviews, In fact, on this dealership's website, as are most, there is no drop-down box to specifically addr Parts Department personnel rarely get any reviews, In fact, on this dealership's website, as are most, there is no drop-down box to specifically address the Parts Department. In my opinion as a consumer, and speaking from both negative and positive experience, Parts counter personnel are just as crucial to individual dealership favor-ability and competitiveness as sales or financing options. I will relate that I will NEVER deal with Westbrook Toyota based on a Parts Department representative quoting double the MSRP price for a part and his cavalier attitude about that pricing. With that said: I am doing my own body repair on my 2003 RAV4 and needed large parts (i.e. hood, bumper cover, front end panel, etc..) and many smaller parts (i.e. nylon nuts, bolts, grommets, etc). I did my research and found the larger part numbers I needed. However, as to the smaller parts, the parts diagrams I found online (artist drawings and not engineering drawings) are somewhat vague and had no actual pictures or dimensions of these smaller parts, I wasn't sure what part numbers were right for my repair. So, I went to Toyota of Wallingford to order the parts I KNEW I needed and to get more information on the parts that I THOUGHT I NEEDED. That's when I was waited on at the Parts Counter by PAUL ZION, Accessories Manager. I EXPECTED a response to my questions to be "If you don't know your part number, then I can't help you". However, I am DELIGHTED to say that Paul said no such thing. He pulled up on his computer many diagrams that included the numerous parts I had questions about. Very time-consuming!! Bear in mind that his (Toyota) diagrams are just artist drawings, the same as I researched on the internet. So I asked if I could SEE the part in question and he went in the back and brought out the part. This occurred several times with several different parts. Some were rejected by me. His patience never failed! Not to mention, I have a hearing disability that often required him to repeat things at least twice, frustrating on his part I'm sure. (It was to my ex-wife). I have dealt with Paul on several occasions for parts, and he has always remained extremely courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend Paul Zion and Wallingford Toyota for Toyota replacement parts. More

A great experience marred by Rob Rypysc in Finance My wife and I had an overall good experience. Our Sales gentleman, Eric Concepcion was terrific. He was honest, helpful, accommodating, and genuine. He answered all of my questions without being forceful. He accommodated us well, as we had a toddler with us and needed to come back two additional times. Our salesman, Eric, even came in on his off day so that we could test drive while our daughter was still at Day Care. I would deal him again and recommend him to anyone. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Rob Rypysc in Finance. We had been preapproved from a lender with a good rate, length and payment. The lender said that Toyota was an eligible dealer and that only a phone call and our reference number. Rob blantantly lied to us and claimed that he did not deal with our lender and tried to sell us to a different lender we were not interested in. When we called the lender to resolve the issue, Rob went so far as to tell us we had to call from the sales floor because he had another customer waiting. I can't stress enough how rude, dishonest, and inconsiderate he was to both my wife and I. We waited 30 minutes to speak with the finance manager, Sohail. When we did, he quickly showed us our lender at the top of the lender list, made a quick phone call to thelender, spoke with someone briefly that he seemed quite personable with, and gave us the loan we wanted with the lender that Rob claimed was not affiliated with the dealership. Sohail apologize for the ordeal and even brought my daughter a teddy bear. Its too bad that one guy in the finance department, Rob Rypysc, ruined what was otherwise and pleasant and effortless experience. More
