Dear "Healthgain", My name is Gary Mariarossi and I am the General Manager here at Treasure Coast Lexus. Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy day to write a review. We are constantly working to improve our service and there is no better tool to help us with this effort than honest feedback from our Guests (positive and negative). Needless to say, I was disturbed when I read your review as that is not the typical input I hear from our Guests. I am so sorry that our actions led you to feel the way you expressed in your review. That is never our objective. After reading your review I went back and did some research on your visit including speaking with each individual you had contact with. What I learned is that the original $3,500 estimate did include everything that we recommended be done to bring your vehicle up to 100%. This is not unusual for a 13 year old vehicle with higher mileage. You are correct when you say that around $500 was "absolutely necessary" to keep your car running. When we inspect a vehicle we report to each Guest everything that we see. We don't just report the bare minimum. We tell the entire story. We then prepare an estimate. From there it is up to each Guest to determine what they would like to have done and what they don't want done. We simply report the news and then follow your directions. If we see any potential issues, we report them to you. We do this for every single Guest, male or female. We then respect any decisions you make. As far as being 'vulnerable' to the salesperson who approached you about trading your vehicle in for a newer model please know that we offer our "Vehicle Exchange" program to all of our Service Guests regardless of the year, miles, or estimate for their current vehicle. Again, some Guests opt to take advantage of this offer and some choose not to. With all of that said, we will continue to work at improving. We obviously made you unhappy and we do not want to happen again. From your comments and my investigation I believe we must do a better job of communicating to our Guests exactly what is required and what is 'optional' when presenting our inspection and recommendations. My conclusion is that we did a poor job of this with you and for that I apologize. We can and will do better going forward. Thank you again for your feedback and criticism.
