Hi, my name is Scott Gregg and I am the service director here at Tucson Subaru. I am very sorry that you feel this way but I want to assure you that we would never try and sell anyone anything they do not need. We do not do business that way, never have, never will. While performing the recall on your vehicle and doing the free multi-point inspection, the technician noted that it appeared the oil drain plug gasket was leaking. The only way to repair this would be to drain the oil and remove the plug and replace the gasket. This is what was recommended. It was obvious that your oil had just been changed, the only reason we recommended it to you was to resolve the leak. It is our responsibility to our customers to report what we find while doing an inspection on the vehicle. At that point it is completely up to you, the customer, to decide how you would like to proceed. We spoke about this on the phone and hope you do in fact feel better about us now. I want every customer to have an extraordinary service experience and we have a stellar reputation here at Tucson Subaru of honesty and integrity.

I did receive a response from The Subaru dealership service director. His view is that a miscommunication occurred, and nothing dishonest transpired.

I wrote a nice note. Because it was only 12 words, it was rejected and I could not move forward. So I gave you FIFTEEN words which was a commentary on the 15-word minimum. It’s sill, stupid, annoying, and unnecessary!
