2016 RAM Lonestar 4x4 Purchase I was in the market for a new truck and wanted the new RAM 1500 with the ECO diesel and a 4x4. I found that the Vernon Auto Group had great pricing a I was in the market for a new truck and wanted the new RAM 1500 with the ECO diesel and a 4x4. I found that the Vernon Auto Group had great pricing and a few options for the truck I wanted. The only obstacle for me was the distance from where I live to Vernon. It's a 5.5 hr drive from West Texas to Vernon. I called the dealership and was able to talk with Ryan Smith. I initially was looking at a loaded Longhorn Edition RAM. The pictures online were good, but I asked to see better ones and to please tell me if there were any issues with the truck. Ryan went out and took better pictures (sent them to me promptly) and included any issues that we talked about. I decided against the truck even though the price for it was great. Rather than lose a sale and customer, Ryan informed me of a great truck they had on the lot. We talked about the truck for sometime and he sent me info on a fully loaded SLT Lonestar package that had everything I truly wanted. The truck was also brand new and was cheaper than the Longhorn Edition we had discussed initially. I had done my homework on the new RAM's cost while shopping the previous 4 months so I knew the deal to be excellent on the Lonestar 4x4. I did however have a back up truck incase the deal fell through. I had another dealership with a like model and at lower cost. We discussed the truck at the other dealership and it's cost difference. Ryan was able to work on the price of the truck in Vernon to get me the best deal of the two. Ryan made the sale, the difference between the two trucks was minimal and the other truck was 3.5 hours closer. Ryan arranged to have the truck delivered to me at minimal cost. I've had the truck a few days now and have driven it twice. It performs great. I'm very happy so far with my purchase and the experience provided by the Vernon Auto Group and Ryan Smith. I've already talked to other family members who live closer to give him a call when looking to buy a vehicle. More
