Gave deposit on credit card before they sent the final quote based on a conversation with the sales folks. I asked for written confirmation of the quote and upon receipt, there were numerous items that I quote based on a conversation with the sales folks. I asked for written confirmation of the quote and upon receipt, there were numerous items that I was not informed of prior to giving them the deposit, and that were inaccurately calculated. We did not come to terms and then they said they were keeping the deposit I put down. Their response was they would keep it because they also sent me an email stating the deposit was non-refundable. That was never mentioned, discussed or know to me prior to giving the deposit and the email arrived after I had already put the deposit down. Typical shady stuff. Of course, I will dispute it with my credit card company, then I will contact the consumer protection folks at the DMV, file complaints with the BBB, likely the Texas Attorney Generals office in hopes that others read and hear of the deceptive practices at Vernon Ford. The front side was good, several folks reached out to me and discussed vehicles, options, etc.. Once it got to Jr. Cavillio, things broke lose. Over something very simple. It's unfortunate, they had the truck sold, at their asking price, until that point. More

We were nervous doing it mostly online with all the covid stuff and gave us a fair and honest trade in price. Can’t say enough about it. They delivered it to my house and picked up my trade. Exactly what we agreed to and no hassle. I’ve bought and sold a lot of cars over the years and Had some good and some bad but he’s the best. thank you Derek! More
I made a deal with Derek to purchase a Ram Rebel on June 26, trading my Challenger in. The deal with Derek went smooth and he was fantastic to work with. The truck was having some paintless dent repair done due to minor hail damage and would be delivered once that was completed. The truck arrived June 30th around 1030PM and looked fine at that point. The following morning several issues were discovered including a windshield that was trashed. At that point, Derek and Ashley took care of the windshield and it was replaced. I am working from home and as such, have not had much opportunity to drive the truck beyond to the corner gas station. On June 28th, I noticed that the passenger side fender was the complete wrong color. I have done my homework and found who the previous owner of the truck was and he says that the fender was NOT mismatched when he traded the truck in. I do not know what happened to this fender but it certainly was not disclosed at the time of sale. As I have put a few miles on it, there have been quite a few issues that have surfaced. In the month that I have had the truck, I have a 2289 repair bill to replace the serpentine belt, balance the tires, replace the front and rear brakes that are glazed over, replace a half shaft that was loose, repair a backup sensor that has not worked since I have had the truck, repair an HVAC outlet that was acting up, replace the dash cluster lens and adjust the headlights. This is in addition to the 391 to paint the fender the color that it should have been in the first place. For a dealership that is doing business selling cars sight unseen, they overlooked quite a few things in their inspection process that should have been found. Be VERY AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE BUYING and certainly do not agree to buy anything from these folks until you have an opportunity to have it looked at by an independent mechanic. I am going to pay to make my truck right but I can promise you that I will not be doing business with Vernon Auto Group again. More
