Best car buying experience possible! From the moment I arrived at Walker Ford until the next day when we purchased our 2013 Certified Ford Explorer, Jay Wright and Bill Merkel never said From the moment I arrived at Walker Ford until the next day when we purchased our 2013 Certified Ford Explorer, Jay Wright and Bill Merkel never said the word "can't". I had been looking for a couple of weeks for a Certified, low mileage, Explorer. We went to Ford's website and already had our credit approval and budget set to keep our payments where we wanted to be. Every place I contacted either wanted a high, virtually non-negotiable amount for their vehicle or they would offer us next to nothing on the trade of our 11 year old van. Thank you Brandon Ford, Bill Currie and Elder Ford for not earning my business. I had a totally different experience at Walker Ford. Salesman Jay Wright greeted me and actually listened to the model, year, options and price we were looking for and only showed me the only car that fit those specifics. Having a window sticker above our price, I was skeptical. He said to bring our trade in and we hopefully can make it work. Then he introduced me to Bill Merkel, used car manager. Bill listened to our situation and said he was pretty sure we could make it work. The next moring I brought our trade by, Bill greeted me and thanked me for coming back. Jay was off, but Bill called him to let him know I came back, and Jay arrived a few minutes later, on his day off! Bill took my keys while Jay and I went back to his office. I few minutes Jay went to go check on our trade and he returned and asked for license, registration & insurance. No negotiation needed, no knocking our old van, no games!! They discounted their price and gave us hundreds extra on our trade to make it fit our budget! While signing the paperwork, finance manager, Mickey was as very entertaining, yet thorough, explaining each document and our options with a nice balance of knowledge and humor. Afterwards Jay stayed around (again on his day off) to go over all the features of our new Explorer. I give my highest recommendation to Walker Ford, Jay Wright, Bill Merkel and Mickey Alperstein! Thanks, we love the new Explorer!! More
