Overpriced Maintenance Service? I paid more money for this time than for the first year service. I am not sure what additional services I have received this time. This is what it feels like when you're treated like family.. Just picked up my new GTI from Wellesley VW. I initially went in to look at a Golf Alltrack. Andreas, my salesperson let me take a new one for a spin Just picked up my new GTI from Wellesley VW. I initially went in to look at a Golf Alltrack. Andreas, my salesperson let me take a new one for a spin by myself and I loved it. We came to an agreeable number for the Alltrack but I couldn’t keep my eye off the GTI in the showroom. The manager, Paul Rowe, came over and told me to take my time and I could sleep on it. I love the low pressure environment that you only find at smaller mom and pop dealerships where you’re not treated like a number. I called Andreas the next morning and asked if we could do the same deal on the GTI instead and they made it work! I showed up with my dog in tow because I had just been hiking nearby and within an hour, I was in an out of the finance office where normally you’d expect the hard sell but the finance manager was easy going and a pleasure to work with as well. They even had milkbones in the service department for my increasingly rambunctious pup! This was easily the most stress free car buying experience I’ve ever had. With most dealers, there’s almost always some part of the experience that’s a little lacking but I found none here. I was treated like an old friend here and I’m recommending them to everyone I know. With my Edmunds review pointing me to the precise Golf GTI options package, a quick internet identified the exact Golf GTI, in stock in Wellesley, at a perfectly reasonable price ... no hasseling necessary. During lunch, I drove over, laid eyes on the car, dropped a deposit. It took 10 minutes. And the car was ready on Friday by midday, with plates and insurance all squared away.
