Selling same vehicle for $2,000 more than listed on Toyota Certified website. Same car, same vin, same stock number. Salesman said “idk what to tell ya” I drove two hours from New Jersey to purchas Toyota Certified website. Same car, same vin, same stock number. Salesman said “idk what to tell ya” I drove two hours from New Jersey to purchase this vehicle. While in the dealership, I called the sales department for clarity. I spoke with someone that confirmed the higher price and could not explain why it was listed for $2,100 less on the official Toyota certified website. I was then met with what I imagine was a manager or the owner. He told me that it’s basically a mistake since they switched to a new system and that Toyota is posting their cost instead of their asking price. Bought a used Venza hybrid limited edition. I was told that I would be deducted $2000 from their listed price . After trying to negotiate the price I was scammed into buying prepaid maintenance and Toyota that I would be deducted $2000 from their listed price . After trying to negotiate the price I was scammed into buying prepaid maintenance and Toyota extra care all for almost 7k extra. The dealer made it seem mandatory and did not explain I could opt out. He was also not straight forward with all the fees and I realized that the price of the car was not reduced either. Their business is very murky. Stay away! More
