My only issue was the vehicle I was going to get had a transmission problem. Took it back and they charged me $250. Only had it over night. This is my first vehicle purchase at Wilsonville Toyota. I purchased a used vehicle and worked with Autumn. She was great to work with!! She made the entire process easy and quick. I got a vehicle I really I purchased a used vehicle and worked with Autumn. She was great to work with!! She made the entire process easy and quick. I got a vehicle I really like and at a great price! I drove out to Wilsonville from Bend and had no regrets. I would go back to them again and have recommended them to friends. Autumn went above and beyond by meeting me in Detroit when it came time to take my vehicle home. I was going through a divorce, moving, working on a Master's degree, and working full-time. Saving me a few hours a driving time meant so much to me. More
I'd done my research on the car I wanted. I hastily purchased what I thought was the lexus of my dreams from a small independent dealership near my home. I loved the car the moment I sat in I hastily purchased what I thought was the lexus of my dreams from a small independent dealership near my home. I loved the car the moment I sat in it. I'd tried purchasing from kuni lexus but didn't have a great experience after my father had purchased 2 vehicles from them new. Their service department was amazing but not great luck though I was clear what i wanted and that I'd be paying cash...no financing needed. Maybe because I was younger and buying pre-owned it wasn't a huge priority for them. So I bought elsewhere. I was thrilled with the car at first. The dealership was kind and fair. But within a week a light came on for tire pressure and it wasn't covered under my $4000 warranty. So I spent another $1000 on fixes. This was around October. My father passed in September and left his rx350 behind with awd. So I wasn't thinking about if I'd need it in my own car. Well coincidentally my best friend had a car issue... I loaned her the suv with awd and it was now December 2021 and the little patch of snow and ice hit. And I was limited to the lexus I'd just purchased that didn't have awd. It had snow/ice mode so figured I'd be ok. I wasn't ok. Where I live we only got an inch or two but this was enough for me to have little stopping power and be sliding all over. Coming around the corner just maybe 10mph onto the street I live I almost slid into a fire hydren. While sliding its direction I had a vision of a news cast with my block being reported as an ice rink and my dream car frozen in the middle of the shot and friends and family seeing I made the news for the wrong reason. That night I decided I needed a redo and i needed awd. I wanted essentially the same car I had with awd. Yes some people are getting more than they spent on their cars due to shortage of used cars...I wasn't going to be one of them. Especially considering I dropped almost 4k on a warranty...1k fixing something not covered under the warranty and I decided to drop 1500 on wheels bc I didn't like the stock one. I knew I was going to lose money...I just wanted to limit my losses and find the right car again. I found options. Drove a couple lexus rc350 though I loved the ls line. I had another bad experience with kuni with a car they were selling and randomly found a vehicle at Wilsonville Toyota. I called from work asking if I could put money down to hold the vehicle but that wasn't an option unless I started a packet applying for credit to purchase the car. I didn't want to have my credit pulled bc I was just going to pay cash again. I got up a little late the next morning and actually JSP was just finishing with someone who had driven and looked at the car I was interested in. Luckily that gentleman hesitated and asked to go home to think about it. So JSP was totally honest and said the guy who hesitated thought he felt something pulling when driving it above 40 mph...he handed me the keys and instead of trying to avoid the issue the other guy thought was there that might keep me from purchasing also...he told me to make sure I get going fast enough to recreate what the prior guy experienced. Instead of hiding a potential issue....he wanted me to know from the start Especially bc I knew the car well. The car I was coming test drive I guess was the used car manager of Wilsonville Toyota prior car...I went through the carfax completely before driving down to Wilsonville. It was a 4 years newer lexus ls sedan...with the awd. I explained to JSP before I left my situation...told him directly what I want for my other lexus...why I'm trading it in....what I'm willing to eat money wise to purchase the car I was there to test drive. That I don't want to haggle...I know what I want...what I'll spend...if they can make it work and I like the car...it's a done deal. I took the keys and drove the car. I recreated what the prior customer experienced and felt what he did...but realized somehow he had the car in snow/ice mode and that was the pull he experienced. I took that mode off and the pull was gone. I loved the drive. So now was the tough part...making the deal work I thought. But it wasn't. When I got back JSP was ready...had all the figures ready and it was within what I felt was acceptable. I'd still have to write a 15k check.. which I know a lot of dealership will only accept along with a credit pull. I told them I don't want a credit pull to pay cash for the vehicle. I am going to be purchasing a condo again soon and I don't want needles credit reviews. Instead of the credit pull jsp was able to get the check and me being good for the 15k without the credit pull. Took me about an hour and a half and I was done. Jsp offered to help with getting my previous warranty refunded pro rated. I got the newer car with awd...4 years warranty...routine maintenance for 2 years included with in the range I was comfortable with. Though a headache for him...he allowed me to keep the plates I just got from my trade in. Jsp has answered any question I've had with in a day or two since my purchase. He's offered to help with my best friend Toyota issues she is having with her lease vehicle from a different local Toyota dealership. I took my new lexus I purchased from jsp to kuni bc I have a regular trusted mechanic there to have a complete check over. In the end they said I got a great deal. Kuni would have charged me 7-10k more for the car if they were selling. So from that angle it feels like I didn't really lose any money considering to start I was pretty set on purchasing from kuni. Thanks jsp for the help and making the process to my dream car....with awd in case ..a very stress free...honest and welcoming experience. I'd recommend you to anyone. And I already am to my best friend for her next car. More
