Our Salesman, Israel, seemed like a trustworthy and friendly guy through the whole process of placing our dream 2021 Tacoma on hold, during the month long wait, and even the paperwork on delivery day. That was my feeling at least before he lied to our faces. When I asked about our second keys location. “It’s in the building somewhere around here” was his response. He reassured and promised me that he knew the key was there and that he would personally deliver the key the next day. The following day I texted him in the afternoon after not hearing anything. This is when he called and informed me that due to a chip shortage I would only be receiving one key with my Tacoma. Big story change from it being in the building. I asked if that meant they were going to be sending me a replacement as soon as production and supplies are caught back up. He just blew me off and wasn’t willing to help remedy the situation. Israel also neglected to get the rest of the downpayment from us at first. We reminded him before leaving and he said that he would call the next day and get it taken care of since he was unable to locate the card reader at that time. After he forgot to call us back, we called him several days later to follow up. We then had to remind him how much we still owed when he was gathering our info over the phone. He also tried to tell me I was going to enjoy the JBL sound system on my Manual Tacoma TRD Off-road premium. Had it been an automatic he would have been correct, however the manual premium comes with premium speakers instead (no JBL, no sub, no amp). It’s a little embarrassing when you have to correct the person you should be able to rely on for accurate information. Clearly some more training is needed. After signing our paperwork and getting my single key, I went out to a filthy truck. It was still covered in sticky residue from the factory wrapping. The roof was completely covered In dirt. The interior wasn’t even vacuumed or wiped down. It took me and a buddy several hours to get this brand new vehicle where it should have been initially. I have never heard of a brand new vehicle not getting detailed. Let me also state that I work in this industry!! My “port installed” all weather floor mats were still boxed up in the back. We even found a tortilla wedged in our tailgate (I wish I was joking). Beyond all of this disappointment and frustration I was still excited about my dream truck. That was until we got a phone call two weeks after the date of purchase. Israel tried to claim that due to my partner finishing a trade school, she wouldn’t qualify for the student graduation rebate. They wanted us to come back in and sign new paperwork. After some back and forth between them, he started raising his voice to her on the phone in an extremely unprofessional manner. This is the point I chimed in. I informed him that I would be happy to send him a direct link to the Toyota financial website where it lists out that trade schools are acceptable in the fine print. It had a clear definition that we met all of the required guidelines. He shortly said “do that then” and hung up. He has since lost his privilege of talking to us on the phone. In the email we informed him if they needed anything else we would be happy to continue the conversation via email, so we could have a paper trail. That was the end of the conversation, we never even so much as received an apology or an ownership of his numerous mistakes. I expected more from “No Bull”, but all I received was Bull and disappointment. It really soured an exciting experience. I will be taking my truck elsewhere for the future services as they have lost our business. More
