Recent Service Experience I initially stopped by to get a regular oil change service and asked my service advisor, Skyler, to give me an estimate for changing all four tires wi I initially stopped by to get a regular oil change service and asked my service advisor, Skyler, to give me an estimate for changing all four tires with alignment. He brought an acceptable price and I agreed to go with it. Skyler also convinced me that I needed a break job. I also agreed with that. After a reasonable waiting time, the car was ready and I was on my way. I was very happy with the service I received even if the cost was pretty punishing. Skyler is an excellent frontline person, with excellent qualities of customer service and a genuine customer orientation. As I approach my home after leaving the dealership, I saw the tire light come on. After parking the car at home, checked the button to let the tire light go away and it did. No problem so far, but I called and reported (via voice mail) the situation and asked if I need to worry about anything. This was on Saturday. On Sunday, I drove the car to a quick shopping, no problem. On Monday, as I was driving to my office for an important meeting, the car started making metallic sounding noises and the noise was amplified when I went over a small pothole or bump. I began to worry, but continued to the office and called Skyler. He was quick to direct me to call a tow truck company and the tow truck came promptly to take the car back to the dealership. The next day, Skyler called me and he indicated the problem was remedied and he would bring the car to my house and he did. He did not seem to be sure what the problem was, but my belief is that there was a technician related failure (like the surgeon forgetting his operating tool in the abdomen of the patient:)). I drove the car yesterday, and in the first 2-3 miles it made some funny noise when I pushed the brake. After that one time, nothing else happened and the car seemed to work fine. It still sounds working fine and I hope it will remain that way. Here is my overall view after this episode: your service advisor, Skyler, is absolutely the type of person you want to keep at your front lines. I cannot say the same thing about your technicians; my trust to your technical people and their competency is shaken at the minimum. I hope this helps. More
