Great Dealership - me
Normally dealing with sales people is NOT a good experience and not my favorite thing to do. I hate the game they play and the stress of it all. But I have to say that it was such a pleasure to purchase our vehicle with John Chapman. Everyone at this family-owned dealership is wonderful and very knowledgeable. They treat you and take care of you just like family. If you are in the market for a vehicle, I HIGHLY recommend you give them a try. Thanks Macdonald Motors!!!
Don't bother shopping them last - Allwinnershere
You can't beat the prices. Their prices are on the vehicles and are non negotiable. Service and sales are reputable, that's what got me to go. They are transparent through the whole process. No "I did see that coming". Anyone going into a dealership should have knowledge. Financing and trade in can get tricky. This were transparency makes Portsmouth Ford the UBER dealer.
Superior Car Buying Experience - Mary C
I recently purchased a 2009 Lincoln MKZ. Great car! 78k mi and beautiful inside and out. Pain free purchase! Family owned company and very professional!
I would highly recommend them!
Found my awesome pickup at Irwin - oldhatt
I had visited three previous dealerships looking to purchase what could probably be my last new vehicle. I had a percentage below sticker in mind. The three previous dealerships would not meet my price but Irwin did. All four dealerships showed me the same vehicles (same VIN #'s) but Irwin was the only one to meet my price. The other three (within 20 miles) wouldn't budge on their price. They lost a sale, Irwin not only won my business they also saved me thousands over the other dealers.
My salesman, Tom Whitney was original, sincere and honest throughout the entire process. I knew from the start he would be, He's a veteran (Navy) In fact he's one of a long line of USN Veterans and his son will be heading to The Great Lakes for basic soon. Thank You for your service Tom and Thank You for my new Truck.

Bad customer service - Shellycraiggoodwin

Buyers beware - Bunny
Bought my 1st dealerships car here this month. NEVER AGAIN! 1ST they tried to sell me a used car valued at 23k brand new for almost 27k, then sold me a vehicle they had no legal rights to sell as they didn't have the title, took over 2 wks to get the title, in the meantime the staff in finance and sales wouldn't return my calls ( I eventually began dealing directly with the GSM) was finally able to get my car on the 24th of march after purchasing it on the 11th, they LOST all my sale paperwork and said they would overnight it to me (finally got it today 3/30/19 and I had to drive from Massachusetts to NH to get it), they also went and registered the car for me... and wrote my personal check out for over $1400 to the mass rmv to cover the Sales tax that was included in my loan, when I caught the mistake they tried to tell me they couldn't cut me a check to cover the difference until the next day, nope, I had to flip out to get the check that day so as not to overdraw my bank account, after all of this there's "nothing" they can do to makeup for the level of inconvenience and aggravation caused by purchasing through their inept staff. Additionally, there was a speaker box with subs in the trunk when I test drove the car, the salesman made a HUGE deal about them, guess qmwhat wasn't in the trunk when I picked my vehicle up? They also never cleaned and detailed the vehicle before I picked it up.
I will be calling corporate 1st thing Monday morning. My family has bought Ford's exclusively for many years (4 brand new in the past calendar year, my next car will be a Chevy. What a nightmare. My cousin warned me these guys were a trainwreck waiting to happen, next time I'll listen
Stay far away - Sthompson728
We bought a used truck from the dealer and within a week the check engine light came on. We took it back to the dealership and the gas tank was falling off due to severe rust. Turns out, it was much worse. The rust was so bad under the truck that it was literally crumbling. We wanted them to take back the vehicle because it wouldn't pass inspection and was dangerous to drive. All they would do was give us back a fraction of what we paid for it and trade in the vehicle. We had no other choice so we traded it in for a car we didn't want that was new so we wouldn't have any issues. Overall terrible experience.
