Taking a vehicle in for service is not high on most people's list of things they want to do, however, when you do, I HIGHLY recommend Boyd Chevrolet Cadillac Buick service dept! You will not be disappointed. Steven Watkins is one of the BEST Service Advisors I have encountered....Steven, the respect, professionalism, and kindness you extend to me and my vehicle (2008 Cadillac XLR) every time I walk through the door is very much appreciated. Joey Rhodes, you operate a well run service dept with the best service professionals and technicians around. Many thanks to you and your department sir!

Honestly I couldnt say enough about the staff at Asheville Chevrolet. The service department is AMAZING! Frank the service manager had my back though my whole process of dealing with GM. Even though I wasn't too easy to deal with Frank was nothing but professional. Even after I got bad news about my truck Frank told me not to loose hope and took charge, handled everything and fought for the right thing. I've worked at dealerships before and never had a service manager work for customers the way he did. I didn't even buy my truck from Asheville Chevrolet, but I wont go anywhere else. If your looking for a vehicle or need service this is the place to go!
Thank you. - lesliemr1
The service associates were very friendly and helpful and fixed my car without any problems. I will definitely be back even when the work is no longer a warranty issue

I had purchased the Tire and Wheel coverage from Hendrick when I bought my truck. They paid for the tire to be replaced and I was on my way. Talk about hassle free and peace of mind! Very professional and quick considering I did not have an appointment. Will recommend to anyone looking for great service and friendly staff.

My wife brought her truck (2006 Silverado 2500) in to... - charles
My wife brought her truck (2006 Silverado 2500) in to diagnose a rattling noise in the steering column.
This is the report she got back. $1,829.15 for “steering column joint”
She asked me to look at it before she had the dealer do any work.
I called the “Service Advisor”, to ask for more details about the steering column.
He said that although the estimate said “steering column joint” the actual part that needed to be replaced was the “steering column”. Didn’t sound quite right so I went with my wife to the dealership to talk with the Service Advisor.
Talked with Service Advisor at the dealership. I asked him to help me understand what part of the steering column was defective. He pulled up a picture of the steering column assembly. I asked if I could talk with the technician that diagnosed the problem. He had already left for the day but called him on the phone. Same explanation - the whole steering column needed to be replaced.
Turns out that the actual part that needed to be replaced was just the bearing at the bottom of the steering column. A cursory internet search produced many links to explanations of the issue that is well documented and known by users. Part costs less than $30. It takes an inexperienced backyard mechanic an hour or two (including snack and bathroom breaks) to replace.
I wish it were just a case of incompetence but I see that your technicians are “GM” Certified.
Now I know that it means, trained in Gross Malfeasance.
No, I don’t blame just the tech. Service Advisors are like the car drivers for the bank robbers - they facilitate the crime. And every aspect of your company - Sales, Parts, Pervice - is tainted.
If your company is willing to be that dishonest there is nothing that I can trust about you.
Smiles and nice talk don’t make up for the stench of dishonesty.
Did my wife get her money's worth for a $99 diagnostic review? Or did she just pay for a wish list of parts you would like to sell her. I’m surprised she was not recommended to buy a new truck.
I’m posting this as a service to your future marks.

I really like this dealership. I bought my 2015 Chevrolet SS from Stevenson Chevrolet in 2015. I've always received the best of service from 2015 to the present. Nothing has changed, the same good quality care from quality people. The staff is friendly and caring and that is why I travel from Kinston, NC to Swansboro, NC. Thanks for all you do!

Poor handling of Maintance garage, and business... - Samuel C.
Poor handling of Maintance garage, and business practices.
11am Appt. from my observations my truck did not get pulled in to approximately 2 PM get started working on an AC compressor change tire change and oil change.
At 2:15 the service rep comes to tell me they already sold the tires they quoted me on at 11 AM. And traded to up sale me a different tire.
It sounds like it looks like the overbooked their garage due to poor scheduling.
More than likely will not be getting service from here again.
BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! - Pam
My husband and I bought a brand new 2017 GMC Sierra in July, 2017 which came with a warranty. In November, 2019, my husband had noticed a rumbling when accelerating and took it to the service department here (which by the way, is about an hour away from our home). They ended up saying that the problem was the transmission fluid that had been put in the truck at the time it was manufactured. They performed a "transmission fluid exchange" and gave my husband the bill for $620.55 when he went to pick up his truck!!! When my husband came home with the bill, I FLIPPED OUT! Not only did they say it was not covered because the warranty had just barely ran out, but they charged us $620.55 to exchange the bad transmission fluid that was put in at the factory when it was built (NO FAULT OF OURS IN ANY WAY, STILL UNDER WARRANTY, OR BARELY PAST THE WARRANTY!!!) I contacted the service department and was given a load of garbage reasoning for this and hung up the phone angry, but not willing to give up on this. Things got busy with the holidays, etc. and so I ended up contacting GMC directly after the new year and was told after a very lengthy conversation that they had assigned a case number and would have that on record, should they ever decide to do a recall regarding this, but that they could not refund us any of the money and suggested we get back in touch with the dealership. I called Hendrick and spoke with Jim Stewart, the Service Manager, who told me they have seen a lot of this problem with these trucks where the transmission fluid was bad and had to be "exchanged". At first, he seemed empathetic and I felt like FINALLY someone was going to do the right thing and give us our money back since this was a manufacturer problem and was in NO WAY our fault. He said he needed to speak with someone over him but sounded very encouraging to me. Fast forward...he called me back some days later and informed me that Brian Zompettie said there was nothing they could do because they would not be able to get the money back from GMC if they refunded us and Jim Stewart had a whole new demeanor than he had in the previous conversation (SOUNDED LIKE HE WAS BRAINWASHED BEFORE HE CALLED ME BACK). I was HIGHLY UPSET and Jim said I could call Brian myself, which I did, but had to leave messages, and HE NEVER RETURNED ONE OF MY CALLS! NOT ONE!!! THERE IS NO WAY THAT WE SHOULD BE STUCK WITH A BILL FOR $620.55 FOR BAD TRANSMISSION FLUID PUT IN AT THE TIME THE TRUCK WAS BUILT, WARRANTY OR NO WARRANTY! I thought the charge was over the top anyway for what they did so I called a local mechanic and inquired about how much they would have charged for this same service and was informed $180-$220 at most for labor and fluid so WE REALLY FEEL LIKE WE WERE "SCREWED OVER" BY THIS DEALERSHIP AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THEY LOVE YOU WHEN YOU'RE BUYING YOUR BRAND NEW $55,000+ VEHICLE AND THEY ARE MAKING THAT COMMISSION, BUT AFTER THE SALE, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE FAIR TREATMENT! THIS IS JUST WRONG ON ALL LEVELS AND THAT IS WHY I TOOK THE TIME TO CONTACT GMC AND THIS DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES AND TO WRITE THIS DETAILED, LENGTHY REVIEW!!! PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS DEALERSHIP YOUR BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS TERRIBLY AFTER THE SALE! I FELT MORALLY OBLIGATED TO PASS THIS INFORMATION ALONG AND WISH WE HAD NEVER SET FOOT AT THIS PLACE!!!! HARD AND EXPENSIVE LESSON LEARNED, BUT I WILL GET THE WORD OUT! YOU CAN COUNT ON THAT!
The Dealership are crooks, car brought to them for recall... - MOM
The Dealership are crooks, car brought to them for recall part. They said that was not the reason why car would not start. Found something else wrong . Fixing recall cost nothing and they did not offer a rental. Ford motors on their recalls will offer a rental anyway long story short cost $700. and recall never fixed.
Bought a vehicle for my teen from this dealership, had it... - didi
Bought a vehicle for my teen from this dealership, had it 4 weeks, the camshaft position sensors had to be replaced. While the car was in a different shop, they checked the oil, they drained the oil right in front of me because they wanted me to see how thick & black it was, this repair shop reports worst oil they have seen in a while. This repair shop recommended I get another oil change in 500 miles (even if I do not return to their shop for the oil change) this will flush the engine.
I reported the above problem to service department at Wayne Chevrolet. The dealership reported this vehicle was regularly maintained at their dealership, also the previous owner had the oil changed at 92,000 miles, we bought it with 93,173. The dealership told me they did not see the need to change the oil, no one of course told us this during the purchase, but we ourselves noticed the oil to be reasonably dark when we checked it early on after purchasing it. We put on 600 miles since owning this vehicle. The dealership refused to white out the previous owners name & provide me proof of all the regular routine service/oil changes they claim were routinely performed at Wayne Chevrolet by the previous owner, just really want proof of oil change. The dealership told us if we have a problem after a purchase, we need to bring it there. The car initially drove fine, but all in 1 day, the car started stalling any time we sat at a stop sign/light/ordering at drive up window, I had to have the vehicle towed 26 miles to get it to a shop, I was not going to have it towed another 35 miles to go to the dealership. This cost me $418.73 for diagnostics, 2 camshaft position sensors, oil filter, oil & labor. Yes, the car is in 90,000 mile range, repairs are to be expected, but cars today will last 230,000+ if properly maintained, every vehicle we have ever owned has made it to 280,000+ miles. Before buying a used vehicle from Wayne Thomas Chevrolet, be sure to have vehicle looked at by your trusted service mechanic, don't trust that the service department completed a basic oil change or other repairs on a used vehicle.
Not even sure where to begin. I took my car here for two... - BerneittBorg
Not even sure where to begin. I took my car here for two visits in one -the first and the last. I have driven a Chevy for the last ten years and have always taken it to the dealership service department for maintenance. I relocated recently so thought I would try out Sir Walter for a simple maintenance visit, and asked them to run a diagnostic while there. The staff was unhelpful when I checked in, and turns out they charge you separately for each system they test during that diagnostic test. I get a call later in the day that my car is literally in an undriveable and dangerous condition, with repairs of upward of $2000 necessary for its survival. They told me I had an oil leak and messed up spark plugs, and when I got there to pick up the vehicle, they were telling another customer the exact same thing (the other customer was also not pleased). I took my car in to a different service shop today for a second opinion, literally everything I learned at this dealership that was “wrong” with my car was in perfect condition, and my car was perfectly safe and able to be driven; down to the fact that my oil had no leak and some of the standard maintenance they suggested wasn’t even necessary. This situation felt quite extreme, since the actual service necessary on my vehicle cost less than the price of running the diagnostic with Sir Walter. I have literally not left a bad or negative review for a business in my life. Everyone has off days; this, however, was unethical and unacceptable. Be wary if you come here, and ALWAYS get a second opinion if you do... especially if they pull the old oil leak and spark plug bit on you- a misdiagnosis too dangerous for them to be misapplying like this. It’s making me add a rep I worked with, but none of the people I worked with were available on the list. I do not know Matt, and I did not work with him.
