A Rare and Special Event - LeCorbusier
As a New Yorker, I was delightfully surprised to find John Mclean a perfect guide and salesman who assisted us in choosing the appropriate package and accessories for the 2019 CrossTrek we purchased for our planned cross-country venture this Fall. He personally saw to every detail. The CrossTrek is a remarkable automobile, a pleasure to drive. Thank you Brattleboro Subaru!

Test Drive - jleblanc7
Today I stopped in to look at a beautiful WRX that caught my eye on the road. Sterling met me with a smile on his face and was extremely welcoming and friendly. Being my first time ever looking at a dealership for a car, he made me feel comfortable asking questions and had great communication skills. I hadn't driven a manual in quite some time but Sterling took me to test drive it and helped me figure out how to drive it again. I was extremely impressed that he took time out of his day to make sure I knew all the ins and outs of the vehicle and becoming very comfortable driving it. I had a wonderful experience. I will be in soon in hopes to buy the vehicle. Thanks again Sterling!
Warranty work problems - ATW098
I did not buy my car here, but had to get extensive work done to it because of issues with my new Subaru that was only 2 years old. It was a 1 week job, ended up taking almost a month. This dealer does not check their loaner vehicles interior at all before they give them out for use. After much longer than expected I got the car back, it was sitting out front all ready to go, I assumed. I was told that I was called and informed the car was done, which was a lie. I had to go to the dealership and go in myself because it is impossible to reach a human being over the phone. As I was being shown the car, I noticed a couple of small marks, then started to notice more. Paint transfer, from a black car, scuffs on the bumper from when it was removed, oil smear on the paint. Plastic trim that was not reattached put in plain view. A random bolt just sitting on my windshield. Then the interior. Scratch marks from the dash being removed. A small chip on the touch screen from it being dropped. The steering wheel was not on straight (had to drive with it sideways). And the final kicker, Subaru’s beep when locking/unlocking, at least ours used to. Not anymore, and they just told us “yeah we can’t turn it back on, sorry.” And left us with it. Generally just didn’t seem like the same car I bought new off the lot a year ago. The technicians here do not seem to care, and neither does the service manager. I did not buy the car here, only had it worked on because I live closer to this dealer. and I certainly regret bringing it in. After finding my car in worse condition when I got it back than when I brought it in, I cut my losses and traded it in for a nicer car at a dealership that I know is decent. My review is 2 stars, I added a star because Dan Royea in service was great the whole time, was easy to work with, helped us where he could, and it was not his fault that the technicians here do not know what they are doing. But because of the awful way the car was treated I cannot say anything else good about this place.
Eyesight Replacement - Local
Because the Eyesight system failed just beyond the warranty creating a safety issue and because the replacement, which the service dept. had never done before would be very expensive, White River and Subaru picked up the tab. It took a long time and several trips, but I expected that. It was handled well. This would be a 5 and not a 4 if communications back and forth had been better.
Worst experience ever - Roadrunnerbob
They tried to charge us 1,000 to repair a problem that they created. We took our Audi to them for a recall and their service coordinator Lynn told us a washer was inside the motor and would be 700 minimum to. 1,000 to repair. Our dealer picked up the car hauled it back to Lebanon and 5 minutes later at no charge the washer was removed with a simple magnet. After further investigation the service manager admitted that either the washer fell in or was put inside the engine. This is a dishonest dealership avoid them if you can.. how many others have they done this to and didn’t get caught.
Saving our vacation - CindyM
Thanks to the service staff at Bennington Subaru our vacation was saved. Both Ryan and Angie not only instantly knew what the problem was they set up our car to be repaired in 2 days. They also gave us a loaner car so our vacation will be uninterrupted. Thank you so much for everything you day.
SO rude - vtgirl21
Called to try and ask a quick question about getting my window fixed. The woman told me that she can't help me if she isn't looking at the vehicle (when I was trying to ask what I thought was a simple question). When I tried to explain what the issue was she kept cutting me off and wouldn't let me finish a sentence. She then told me that she suggest I read the owner's manual and try to find a fix before calling them again. Definitely will NOT be going here for any more service (or vehicle purchase) moving forward.
