disappointed with the service at this dealership. Justin... - Dee

disappointed with the service at this dealership. Justin was passive aggressive in his remarks as we discussed wanting to do business but wondering if he could make any other accommodations on the price as the vehicle was not only older but would need work done in it down the line due to the wear. I’ve worked with a handful of other dealerships with much better customer service skills and was appalled of his cocky attitude when it became apparent we weren’t completely sold and ready to sign off. Justin, if you are reading this.. please be mindful of your tone.. you “keeping it real” type personality may have gotten you far in other areas but in this case drove us away.. and made me want to write a review to boot. Best of luck on the new $70,000 vehicle you bragged about as well as the slew of other vehicles.. had you have lost the attitude you would have closed the deal, alas your ego seemed to have got the best of you. You could have waved the $400 “document prep fee” and closed the deal..kinda glad things didn’t pan out.

Volkswagen - Vw_dad73

Bought a 2006 VW Jetta from him and I have been driving it everyday since and it’s been a great car. Buying from him was easy and he took care of everything. I would definitely buy another vehicle from him.

Five Stars. - Traill.andrew

Five Stars. I had an exceptional vehicle transaction experience working with Deni Nakonecni at Goodwin's Volvo. As a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, I highly value clear communication, baseline integrity, and structural professionalism. Deni delivered exactly that. He provided an uncorrupted, highly accurate, and fair on-paper appraisal for my trade-in asset and made the entire delivery process seamless. If you want a straightforward, transparent transaction without the deceptive games found at other regional dealer networks, go see Deni at Goodwin's.

We called K & R to say we were interested in a car and - nfclewley

We called K & R to say we were interested in a car and Teddy answered and invited us to see it. They were really busy when we got there but we were greeted immediately by several friendly staff and while Teddy was on a test-drive, he had the car ready and already started, so we could look it over. As soon as he became available, he ran to us and was very friendly and knowledgeable. From that point on, he did everything he could to answer our questions and m ake us feel comfortable. My test drive with him was a great time, as he is friendly and fun! Best car purchase ever and I'm 61 (don't know how many cars I've owned, but it's a lot). I highly recommend Teddy and will go back to K & R again If I ever need another vehicle. Oh, I love the car! It was a fair price and though we went to 2 other auto sales, I'm glad we shopped at K & R in Auburn, ME.

Promised to make good the bad TPMS, I have a letter saying they will. Many emails with Guy and responses stating he will have all failed. The dealer is not much.

Rude, nasty people who avoid communication when the message isn’t in their favor. Got a quote for a job “two weeks, it’ll probably be a week but I’ll say two to be safe” it’s over a month and the work isn’t done, and now they’re suddenly charging for the work that they missed the first time around. Slimy people who also MLM on the side. Their number one focus is money, money, money, and look, looks, looks- well those things only last so long. Wouldn’t recommend anyone do business here. Read the reviews, and decide if this is a headache worth nursing.

Liars & swindlers - Gardener19

The car we purchased was a problem child from the moment we drove it off the lot. They said they fixed things they didn’t, dodged our phone calls, and refused to work with us when we asked to swap/trade it for another vehicle. The vehicle itself was a complete lemon, was in the shop literally every 2-3 weeks and cost us way more than it was worth, but they refused to help us figure out how to get out from under it. The shop and sales office is a total dump and incredibly sketchy. we will never ever go back and are telling everybody we know to avoid it.

Mark was fabulous!! He was not only honest and someone I instantly felt I could trust, but he worked for me. He not only got me approved for a loan that I never thought i'd get, but he also worked very hard to put me in a vehicle that I would enjoy. I highly recommend anyone (even with bad credit) to atleast give him a shot because I know he will put his all into getting you the best deal possible! Thank you Mark for an awesome experience!!

Easy, Quick, Hassle Free Purchase - csutton

The experience I had buying from the Charlie's family in Augusta was basically perfect. They worked with me tirelessly to put me into a car that suited all my criteria. They worked through the night trying to meet my needs and one of the managers talked to me at 9;00PM and offered me what I needed to make a car purchase happen! They showed serious compassion and customer service. I am extremely happy with my new car and I would recommend Charlie's to anyone out there looking to get a new/used car. Thanks to Andy, Al, Jeff and Jeff, and all the others who collaborated on helping me drive off the lot!!

Ive bought 3 vehicles from these guys and thought for - Berto

Ive bought 3 vehicles from these guys and thought for sure I'd be a lifelong client, the owner seems to be a great guy, the salesman Dan seems to be a great guy, but I'm at a loss here. The vehicle I bought is a 2018 Audi SQ5 for over $40,000 it was my dream vehicle and the owner actually got involved in helping me get in the vehicle. Super xxxxxxto him. Shortly after I got it home I noticed a pulsing vibration through the floorboards while going straight and more aggressively when I turn right. Nothing happens when turning left. I thought it was nothing, maybe needed the tires balanced, so I had that done with no effect to the vibration. I notified Lake City of my problem then, maybe 1 at the most two weeks into my ownership of the vehicle. I brought it to multiple garages including an Audi dealership for diagnosis. Everyone kept saying wheel bearing (which would be odd having a wheel bearing go at such low milage 64k) so I wound up having the rear left replaced twice and the front right replaced once. I also had the tires replaced and a rear axel replaced. Lake City assisted with I think two of the 3 bearing replacements. None of these repairs had any effect on the condition of the vehicle. Eventually expert staff at the Audi dealership got involved and gave me a correct diagnosis, the issue is the transmission in the front differential area. I spoke to a transmission specialist, described the symptoms and he seconded the diagnosis, transmission specifically the front differential bearing. The thing that bothers me is that I now know that I bought the vehicle with a faulty transmission. Its documented that I was attempting to diagnose and repair this within the first few weeks of ownership. Now I own an over $40,000 vehicle that has a failing transmission. At the rate the vibration is getting worse I know Im driving on borrowed time. I asked for assistance, which I think is reasonable, and they offered to help me find someone to repair it. No financial assistance on a car I bought that had a faulty transmission from the get go. So I'm at a loss here, the buying process is great, they make it easy, they even found me a killer interest rate. But now knowing that the car I bought was doomed from the beginning? Did they know this? Honestly I don't believe they did. Are they hoping I just go away? I don't know about that either, but probably that's the case. I do know that Maine has an "Implied 4 year warranty" where the seller promises the product offered for sale will do what its supposed to. Also the fact that this issue was noticed immediately but was unable to be diagnosed until several months later. I am not sure about any of this, it sure feels like I'm not wrong that the dealership should have some accountability, and unfortunately I feel the only way I'm going to get anywhere is to proceed with legal representation in the court of law. I have loved being ready for a new vehicle and having Lake City Exports be my go-to website to shop at and knowing that relationship is being soured and feeling left out in the cold is extremely disappointing.

I have bought three cars from Lake Region over the past ten years. I can't imagine going anywhere else. The prices are very reasonable and they offer a great selection of Subaru's, along with a few other foreign makes. Tom is easygoing and does not pressure at all. They let you take it out and will answer any questions about the cars. They are thorough with the mechanical inspections and seem to strive to go above and beyond when possible to make the car right. I will buy from them again. Just a down-to-earth honest family business.

May this NOT happen to you - DeeplyDissatisied

In June 2013 I took delivery in Arizona of a classic car from Motorland Vintage America in Maine. The car had been advertised at hemmings.com and the dealer's Web site described the car as being very good to excellent in every respect, and they told me there was no rust. My mechanic soon found significant rust, no rear brake function, non-original engine, and evidence of a collision. An independent certified appraiser valued the vehicle at $6,000 less, or 40% less, than the purchase price. For months I have tried to get Motorland to pay me the difference, but they refuse. If you know of anyone looking to buy a classic car, please share this experience. Thank you.

I usually avoid dealerships, but Norms treated me very well. Asking around, my neighbor boasted how well they are. That speaks volume to me. This is the place where you know you are going to be treated nicely. Carmine is very attentive and not pushy. He even surprised me with a better rate than my credit union (who I've been a member for 30 years). Please feel comfortable knowing you'll be taken care of.

This is the best place to buy your next vehicle! - Bendy90

This is the best place to buy your next vehicle! These people are amazing, top notch team, customer service a 10. Great selection of vehicles on their lot, staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. Caleb Gerry in the sales dept. made me feel like I’ve know him for years, made me feel right at home the second I walked into the showroom. Went over all of the vehicle options, set up the app on my phone, and gave me a tour of their state of the art facility. Definitely reach out to Caleb for your next vehicle! John Talamelli in the finance dept. made the process super smooth and easy, explained everything in detail, and answered all my questions without any worries. He made me feel at home going over all the paperwork, not a single worry wit anything. Josh Obercian the general manager, absolutely the nicest guy you would ever want to meet. He spent time upfront with my wife and I, answered a few questions and made the visit to Maine such a pleasant experience. He checked in with us several times while we were there, making sure that ever single step of the process was smooth sailing without a single issue or concern. Hands down the absolute best buying experience ever, Patriot Acura customer for life, thank you all very much for making this the easiest and best experience on buying a vehicle, that I’ve ever had.

When I went to the RJB& Son they were very nice and helpful to my wife and I. My friend called to see if Beau was going to be there. He called my friend back and said he would stay there for us. We test drove the vehicle and he gave us paperwork to fill out so we would be ahead of the loan process. Mr. Blais said he would meet us at his office at 9AM on Saturday to help us with the loan process. My wife and I are now proud owners of a 2004 Sonata. I honestly believe this would not be possible without the assistance of Beau Blais.

Spectacular - New truck

Bill Carr Jr was our salesman he went above and beyond our expectations to help us purchase our new truck. He was patient with us answering all our questions and returning all our calls. The truck was for my husband, I own a Toyota Camry when I decide to get a new one I will definitely seek out Bill Carr Jr.

I purchased a 2004 Isuzu NPR box truck with 47430 miles... - david1962nepveu

I purchased a 2004 Isuzu NPR box truck with 47430 miles on the recommendation of a Vermont dealer from Stiman's Used Truck and Equipment in Winslow, ME. I picked up the truck and drove it to back to Vermont on a Sunday, called Stiman's on the following Tuesday to tell them I had a feeling the rear end was bad. I specifically asked Chuck if there was anything wrong with the truck that would give me any mechanical problems, before I went to pick it up that I should know about. He either told a bald faced lie in telling me there was nothing wrong or he doesn't know anything about what he is selling. They said they would make it right when I initially talked to them, including giving me a full refund, just let them know what I wanted to do. Once I agreed to take my money back they refused to do that. They told me to have it brought to an Isuzu dealer 90 miles from where the truck is garaged to have it looked at to determine when the rear end got damaged, even eluding to my damaging the rear end? So who is going to pay for the $475.00 - $500.00 towing bill? I already paid in full for the truck to use for my delivery business and don't even have 500 miles in the drivers seat. This truck isn't making my business money it is costing my business money and David & Chuck at Stiman's are very aware of this. They have showed they could care less about their customers by the way they are ignoring me and refusing to do anything to fix this problem or come to a workable solution. Bottom line if you buy from these guys your can expect to get ripped off, at least that is my experience with them. With 474 miles on it from the time I picked it up and the truck is useless, as in it won't move. I guess the $3000.00 to replace the rear end will be my problem. Stiman's problem is they have a delivery business owner / driver who travels all of New England, New York, New Jersey as well as long runs into Florida who is going to spred the word about this dealer. Stiman's will never see another penny of my money and every person I run into who has delivery or trucking businesses will be aware of what they can expect when they do business with the Stiman's Used Trucks and Equipment in Winslow, ME. On a side note they have put another dealer right in this mess. When this other dealer recommended this dealer for the truck I was looking for they put their reputation on the line. It will be tough now to consider this dealership for any of my future business.
