I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was - Sanderscortney2
I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled by management, including Manager Lenore Spencer , Brian Riccard, and the leadership overseeing the sales department. My interaction escalated to the point that I felt it was necessary to call 911 for assistance. This was particularly distressing because I was already physically vulnerable after recently undergoing chemotherapy.
What happened afterward was even more concerning. A response posted under what appeared to be the dealership owner’s account began discussing details about my personal medical history, including information that I did not provide to the dealership and statements about my medical history that I maintain were inaccurate. The response was later deleted, but by that point several people who know me in the Leesburg community had already seen it, taken screenshots, and sent them to me. I also retained screenshots.
I am genuinely concerned about why any employee of a car dealership would believe it was appropriate or necessary to publicly discuss a customer’s medical history in response to a review. My medical history had nothing to do with the substance of my consumer complaint. I am also concerned that these statements appeared under the owner’s name. If the owner did not personally write the response, I would like clarification regarding who has authorization to post publicly on her behalf and whether she was aware that her account was being used to make statements about a customer’s medical information.
I have documentation of what was posted and would prefer for this matter to be addressed professionally rather than through continued public back-and-forth. Consumers have a right to describe their experiences, and a disagreement with my review did not require bringing my personal medical history into a public forum. I hope executive leadership reviews what occurred, determines who authored the responses, and addresses why this was considered an appropriate way to communicate with a customer.
