My husband and I recently purchased two vehicles from Mercedes-Benz of McKinney, an S-Class and a GLE. Along the way, we ended up working with sales, service, and management, which I think gives us a unique perspective on the dealership.
If you’re shopping for a Mercedes, I highly recommend working with Glenn. We visited the dealership several times during our search and probably sat in what felt like every vehicle on the lot. I have issues with my hip leg and deal with chronic pain, so finding the right vehicle was more complicated than simply picking a model. Glenn was patient, knowledgeable, and never made me feel rushed. He took the time to answer questions, explain options, and help us find the vehicles that were the right fit for our needs.
At other dealerships, we often felt overlooked. It sometimes felt like we were a bother, or that assumptions were being made about what we could or couldn’t afford because we preferred to be thoughtful about our purchase rather than simply jumping to the most expensive vehicle on the lot. Perhaps that’s just my perception, but the difference was noticeable. Nothing like that ever happened with Glenn or anyone else at Mercedes-Benz of McKinney.
After all the searching both here and at other dealerships, we purchased a Certified Pre-Owned S-Class and a new GLE. Unfortunately, we experienced an issue with the seat in the S-Class and a few of the vehicle’s safety features. While I wish that had never happened, the way the dealership handled it gave me even more confidence in doing business with them.
My first point of contact was Andres in the service department, and he was wonderful to work with. He kept us informed, was always responsive, and genuinely cared about helping us resolve the issue. Throughout the process, he consistently looked for ways to make things as convenient as possible for us.
Andres also coordinated the repairs and did an excellent job. I always felt like the vehicle was receiving the attention it deserved, and he took the time to explain what was being done and answer my questions. He handled the situation professionally from start to finish, and I always felt confident that the dealership was taking my concerns seriously.
However, as we worked through the situation, I ultimately decided I would be more comfortable transitioning into a brand-new vehicle. David was instrumental in helping make that happen. I’ll be honest, going into those conversations, I expected I would have to push hard to be taken seriously and arrive at a fair solution. Instead, David listened, understood our concerns, and worked with us to find a solution that we felt was fair. At every step, he was professional, thoughtful, and focused on helping us move forward.
One thing I really appreciated was that nobody ever made us feel like we were being handed off or pushed aside. From Glenn, to Andres, to David, everyone was helpful, responsive, and genuinely wanted to help. They made the process much easier than it could have been.
While I’m sure the issues we experienced were an anomaly, it matters a lot how a business responds when something unexpected does happen. We were treated fairly, communicated with honestly, and never felt like our concerns were being dismissed. Because of that, I would have no hesitation purchasing another vehicle from Mercedes-Benz of McKinney.
We love both our S-Class and our GLE, and we’re very appreciative of the way the entire team took care of us.
