Congratulations for wrecking car buying for me forever I Purchased a 2014 Lexus GS that was marked at $35,000 after my wifes car caught fire earlier that day. We are a 2 car family with kid and I have a f I Purchased a 2014 Lexus GS that was marked at $35,000 after my wifes car caught fire earlier that day. We are a 2 car family with kid and I have a fairly long commute so we were in a pinch to get a new car so I found the car on Autotrader marked for $35k so we went to look at it the car seemed decent there were a few issues with it but nothing deal breaking. So we proceeded to make a deal with them, and that is when everything went to crap for the first time. The finance people smelled blood in the water and new we were young and dumb. They would not move on there $35K price to start which I guess. Then proceeded to sell us every gimmick in the store lumped into some fancy package that they spent 2 seconds explaining. Note we got to the store at around 3 PM with a child and after talking with the finance company till around 5 we went to dinner while they worked with the finance company to get the loan approved, We came back and somehow they had us roped into paying 50K for a 35K vehicle with Clear bra, service package, theft protection, etc. Stuff you should never buy if your smart, but they got me. The next par they were having issues finding a lender to take on the loan and ended up letting us take the car home for the night because at this time it was almost 9pm and we had work in the morning and they were still working on finance. So we went home and the next day my wife went back early to try and sign the paperwork and added handed them a down payment of $5000 well that went poof and now we had the lone for 50K kinda. I drove the car for another week and for some reason something was not right also my wife and I all that week were overlooking the loan paperwork and scratching our heads wondering were they stuffed the $5000 that we gave them. So we were kinda mad and felt very ripped off at this point. So the dealer calls us back in to fix something with the finance because there was an issue with the loan paperwork and now we are mad because they tell use they have to use another lender and raise the interest rate another percent. So we tell them we no longer want the car. Thats when they get a pissy attitude and tell us that we cant give the car back because we had used it for the week and if we wanted to return the car we would have to pay a $1000.00 restocking fee. So needless I was livid and almost went ape xxxx on the guy but my wife calmed me down and we signed the fing papers and left. Fast forward a couple months and I want to get my crap I paid for put on the car ( clear bra and interior protection. But I notice some rock chips on the bumper so I ask there service department to fix the chips before they clear bra as to not seal in the rock chips. Well they didn't they just cleared over the chips and a few bugs which ended up causing the wrap to bubble up in thoughts areas and wreck the bra. note the bra was like $1500. The interior protector they put on the car didn't look like they did anything It looked completely the same. I even poured some water to see if it did anything and it looked normal. again that was like $500. The car came with one key and the sales guy said they would get me another key. Well I went back 3 times to get the new key and the people there had no clue what I was talking about even though I had a signed paper. stating they would do so. 2 years later I went back and lost my xxxx over this key and finally they gave it to me. That leads me to the service department oh boy! so the service package only covers basic fluids and inspection thats it breaks, filters, wipers, cleaning the battery terminals, bulbs not covered annoying but what ever. So now for my service visits for repairs or issues 5 times for the same speaker issue that I paid for a diagnosis on of $150 ish still there fix turn the base down to 0 so it didn't rattle in the door, clock I brought it there 3 times first no issue 2 they adjusted the clock so it read the right time ( the clock ran slow) 3ed they replaced it after another diagnostic fee. Tires the first time tried to sell me 4 tires for $1500 I went to Amazon and got decent tires and had them installed $600. Tires the second time same deal payed even less going through Amazon. Breaks they tell me I have to get special Fsport breaks that cost an additional $150 ea. and I tell them that they can use normal pads, so they come back and say they have to use the special Fsport ones for the fronts and normal for the back, so I said do it. fast forward 1000 mi the breaks squeaked in the front every time you stop. Fast forward 3000 miles the stopping squeak is gone but now my car howls constantly and its so loud and embarrassing I have brought the car back to Toyota 3 times to fix it and every time they say its because I used the cheap pads. Over all the car is great very few issues, but I absolutely hate it because of this dealership and all the bull crap they have pulled. More

Our experience was the most enjoyable, quickest and most efficient car purchase we have ever had in 60 years of car ownership. Abe is very personable, knowledgeable and attentive. Likewise, Sammy in finance worked everything out so quickly including registration and insurance. I would highly recommend Toyota of Tampa Bay to anyone I know and I would send them to Abe Abdullah for courteous VIP service. We really appreciated the up to the minute computerization which allowed us to test drive, purchase, finance, register, insure, trade in our old car, and drive home our new car in 5 hours! Phenomenal!! More
