It was a great experience shopping at Branford Premier Subaru. I am very happy with my new 2017 Forester Touring SUV. Thank you to Matt for the explanation and care in helping me choose a car. Everyone at Premier Subaru exceeded my expectations. As we were coordinating our move from Manhattan to Branford, I had multiple calls with Rachel Kuhr. She was fantastic. She kept me informed about the cars available and about the future allocations. She also priced up different lease packages for me. Rachel deserves 5+ stars. Once we moved to Branford, we went to Premier and were helped by Dmitriy. He took the time to explain what inventory he had and when it was expected. We also went on a test drive with him and he covered all of our questions around the lease price line items. It was a pleasure to have some that didn’t use high pressure tactics or talk down to us. We felt very comfortable with Dmitriy and liked working with him. Rodney handled the finance end and was easy to work with and made sure all documents were explained as I was signing them. He made the paperwork part of the lease very seamless and quick. Finally, we were given a “lesson” by Andi on the many features of our new Outback Limited. Andi also should get an extra star for picking us up at Enterprise after we dropped off our rental car on the way to Premier Subaru. Andi gave great overviews of some key features as well as directing us to other sources where we could learn more on our own. She also made us feel less overwhelmed by telling us that we could make another appointment (or more) with her to continue to go over the many high tech features available. Overall, my wife and I are both highly satisfied with our experience at Premier Subaru and would recommend this particular dealer to anyone looking to lease or buy a new Subaru. I went to trade in my VW Golf R for a limited Crosstrek, but found out that they could not buy out my lease, and I would have to go to Volkswagen to sell it to them first. I was told my Crosstrek was going but found out that they could not buy out my lease, and I would have to go to Volkswagen to sell it to them first. I was told my Crosstrek was going to be "delivered" that day. So I went to the VW dealership in North Haven, sold my car, and took an Uber back to Premier. I was then told that my car was "delivered" to port but would take 10-14 days to get the dealership!! I was now without a car for two weeks (which is how long it took). They could not provide me with a loaner either. I reached out to the owner, Bob, via email and he mentioned the possibility of getting me a rental discount. However, after four more email attempts and one phone call to get this discount rental, he never got back to me nor did the other four managers cc'd on that email. So for two weeks I was begging for rides to and from work...nice. I was originally going to put down $9000 on a lease but ended up only being able to do $8500. When I texted my sales guy that I wanted to do $8500 down with the same monthly payment, or, I said in the text, if push comes to shove I would remove the paint protection package to keep the monthly payment down. He wrote back "understood". However, I get to the dealership to take delivery of my car and the paint protection was already added! And the monthly payment went up and there was nothing I could do. But $8500 down on a lease with a $314/mo payment sounds like a bad deal, especially after taking to my friend who put down $1000 and was paying almost what I was paying for the same car. I really wanted to give a better review, as I do not like negativity, but I just have to be honest. I feel like I got a bad deal with that much down, and it's too late. More
