Car Buying Adventure I bought a pre owned Chevy Bolt at EMICH Chevrolet! I wanted an electric vehicle for the last decade, and the Volt was affordable with the range I nee I bought a pre owned Chevy Bolt at EMICH Chevrolet! I wanted an electric vehicle for the last decade, and the Volt was affordable with the range I needed in the Foothills of Denver. I chose EMICH because they were the only dealership that offered pre owned Bolts, and because the Sales Representative who contacted me was so flexible and knowledgeable about electric vehicles. My husband and I arranged to meet Bart Johnson at the dealership for a test drive. I found out later that he came in on his DAY OFF to do it! We went out for the test drive with Bart and his trainee Gabe, and we were encouraged to put the car through any challenges we could come up with. We drove up Mt Vernon Canyon (I-70) at 87 miles per hour, passing semis and other vehicles with no problems. My husband compared it to a Tesla, just a bit noisier ride, but a lot more affordable. We came back down the mountain and drove on snow and ice packed neighborhood streets that had not been plowed to see if we could make it slide! Still no problems! All in all, we were gone for a good 45 minutes (both of us took turns driving), and never felt hurried or pressured. Of course we bought the car, and after all the paperwork was signed, drove 35 miles home in a snow storm on Hwy 285. That was unplanned, but the Bolt did great, no spinning or sliding, even on an icy hill climb. We are very happy with the whole experience. More
