Hi Kate, It is a high priority at Bulldog Kia to offer excellent customer service to all customers. Safety is our number one priority and it is important to us that our customers are safe when they leave our dealership with vehicles we serviced. We apologize for your experience and would like to explain further the process we used to service your vehicle. When you first contacted us here at Bulldog Kia, you stated that the other shop diagnosed your vehicle and you already had some of the work they suggested done on your vehicle. We gave you pricing for the remaining work that needed to be finished according to the diagnostic results you shared with us via the initial phone call. We set an appointment for the repairs you requested and completed them. We also test drove your vehicle to ensure that the codes were cleared and your vehicle was finished in terms of the services you requested that we perform. Often, misfire codes need handled first because misfires can be the cause of multiple codes in the system. We did not run a full diagnostic test on your vehicle because the cost is over $100 and you already had a diagnostic test done at another shop. Had we suspected anything further needing to be done urgently, we would have suggested the test be redone. It is not in the best interest of our customers to run diagnostic tests when they aren't necessary and in your particular situation, we did not think it needed done due to you stating it had just been done at another shop. As we have mentioned before in our conversations, we would never do anything to intentionally harm our customers or put them in a situation where they are not safe. We simply did the work you requested that we do. You had half of the work done at another shop and then finalized the work here with us. We completed all of the services you requested from us. Unfortunately, we cannot control when a vehicle has problems, especially if it is an older vehicle. With your vehicle being 13 years old with over 145,000 miles on it, wear and tear is typical and the life expectancy of a vehicle is usually maxed at some point in which it is typical for a vehicle to have multiple unexpected issues in a short period of time. That is completely out of our control. That being said, it is our goal to ensure you are satisfied and always safe. We would like to discuss options with you on how we can help you in this situation and make the process as simple as possible for you and your family to get in a vehicle that is both reliable and safe. Please call us if we can help you further and we hope you are able to get your vehicle taken care of.
