My wife and I are first-time buyers of a preowned car from a dealership. We’ve always paid cash for “as-is” vehicles. With 20 years of car troubles and being fed up with the increasing price and decreasi from a dealership. We’ve always paid cash for “as-is” vehicles. With 20 years of car troubles and being fed up with the increasing price and decreasing quality of older used cars, we purchased a 2020 Subaru Outback to replace a dying 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88. Call me a cynic, but I half expected to be taken advantage of. I have never been so happy to be proven wrong. Not only was the entire staff professional and accommodating, but specifically Ryan from sales and Bill from accounting. I asked hard, uncommon questions (due in part to the experiences of old vehicles) about the quality and potential issues I may experience with a Subaru. Ryan answered graciously and in an informed manner. The information he provided was reassuring. His answers were comprehensive and complete. Overall, Ryan was sincere and performed his job with excellence. We entered into this purchase with a budget. We had goals for early payoff and wanted to stay within our means. The price of the Outback was between $4k - $8k below comparable models for sale from the entire surrounding region. We were unprepared (inexperienced) with the number of warranty/protection options available with the purchase. I honestly did not expect a warranty of more than 90 days to even be an option on a used vehicle. We had put a large sum down, which meant we did not have the extra room for much else. Bill in finance was so passionate about ensuring that we received the best possible protection, that he actually cut the 100k mile warranty and one other cost IN HALF for us. This blew my mind. This dealership cared so much about ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty that they were willing to give us a discount that we didn’t even qualify for nor earn through years of loyal purchases. Instead of taking advantage of us, they bent over backwards to give us the best service possible. We most highly recommend My Auto Import Center of Muskegon to any potential buyers. They make owing a lot of money for car a wonderful experience, were it possible. More
