Took my two-year-old car in because of a Charging System warning while driving to Kenosha from Minnesota. They diagnosed the issue as me needing a new alternator, $1200 estimate. After two attempts they s warning while driving to Kenosha from Minnesota. They diagnosed the issue as me needing a new alternator, $1200 estimate. After two attempts they said they couldn't get it to fit, I told them to put back the old one and I will risk driving back to Minnesota. Took the car directly to my mechanic who stated it couldn't have been the alternator if I drove all the way back from Kenosha. They diagnosed the problem as a short in the wiring, fixed that and it is working fine with no new alternator. I expect a Ford Dealership mechanic to know how to fix Ford's, but they didn't. Seems to me to be a gouge the customer attitude. More
