Sales was fine, but the finance experience was not.

The finance representative misled us by saying one thing verbally and presenting different information in writing. I trusted what was said verbally, which I now realize was a mistake.
For example, he told me verbally that my interest rate was 6.99%. I specifically remember expressing surprise that it wasn’t lower. In reality, he knew the interest rate was lower at 5.25%. To compensate for the lower rate, he added additional charges.
Because I believed the interest rate was 6.99%, the numbers appeared to make sense to me. He calculated the payments accordingly, which allowed him and the dealership to make additional money by adding a service contract (mechanical protection plan). When I signed, the monthly payment seemed reasonable based on what I had been told. However, the actual interest rate was 5.25%, and he added several thousand dollars—primarily from the mechanical protection plan—to increase the overall cost. I did the math and even though the interest rate is lower I am paying more overall because of everything that was added.
