Candid, honest car-buying experience - highly recommended! My experience with Toyota of North Charlotte was positive from front to back in my purchase of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. No pressure and no hidden sales t My experience with Toyota of North Charlotte was positive from front to back in my purchase of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. No pressure and no hidden sales tactics, candid and honest discussions, and a personal touch made this the best car purchase I ever made. Being in need of a new vehicle following a total loss situation, I expected that I would be at a disadvantage in the car-buying process. That was never the case with Toyota of N. Charlotte. I began my search on their website and was contacted the next morning by their Internet Sales team by phone – my preferred contact method. Other dealerships I contacted generally only contacted me by e-mail despite my preference. Wesley Ashe was the Products Specialist who first greeted me when I arrived at the dealership and accommodated me well throughout my initial visit. Wesley demonstrated a depth of knowledge about the Tacoma I was interested in and compared its features to other vehicles I was familiar with. There was never a moment of pressure or any of the typical tactics you would expect from a traditional car dealership. On the contrary, Wesley was candid and personable in answering all of my questions. That candidness, honesty, and personal touch continued when I was introduced to the Sales Specialist Brian Doyle. Even though I was still in the midst of my total loss settlement, Brian and Wesley regularly followed up with me after that night regarding where things stood with the insurance company and kept me updated on the status of the Tacoma I was interested in. That no-pressure, candid approach continued when I finally closed on my purchase with Sales Specialist Chris Wickson. Chris worked well with me to test drive the Tacoma, explore my financing options, and understand the advantages and disadvantages of each option. The conversation never made me feel like a victim of the typical negotiation tactics I would have expected; I felt like the conversation focused on what I was able and willing to do to close on my purchase. Finance Specialist Janelle Harris was the final team member who assisted in closing the purchase and did a professional job explaining the financing process. Janelle even stayed past midnight to complete my purchase that I initiated around 10pm! Even though it was past midnight when I left, Chris stayed and was waiting by the door to congratulate me on my purchase. One final note: because I still had my rental car and needed to return it the next morning, Chris arranged for Products Specialist Jon Durham to meet me with my new Tacoma at the rental car company – making the whole experience more convenient. Even though I eventually found a drop-off location down the road from the dealership, Chris and Jon offered to meet me at the Gastonia rental office, which is quite a distance away from the dealership. I know Jon was relieved to only have to drive down Statesville Road, but that willingness to accommodate me characterized my whole experience. The focus through this whole experience was on me and making the car-buying process as honest, candid, and easy as possible. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for or in need of a vehicle. If you arrive and ask for any of the folks I’ve named above – Wesley, Brian, Chris or Jon – you will not be disappointed and will leave proud of and confident in the purchase you made. More

Would not go any where else I just bought a 2015 Highlander from Toyota of North Charlotte. This was my 2nd vehicle purchased from them, the first in 2004. I have nothing but p I just bought a 2015 Highlander from Toyota of North Charlotte. This was my 2nd vehicle purchased from them, the first in 2004. I have nothing but praise for this dealership. I worked with Brian Doyle in coming to terms on the price and Kimberly Veney was very thorough in showing me details of my car after papers were signed. But the main reason I went back to Toyota of Lake Norman was because of Will and Eric of the service department. With my 2004 Highlander, these men made sure my car was always in great running condition and never tried to sell me a "bill of goods" like so many other service/repair places. And I'm sure our relationship will continue in the upcoming years with my new Highlander. I highly recommend this dealership when purchasing a new car or having one serviced. More

Marcus Purdy was friendly, knowledgable and helpful in showing us the available cars. Brian Doyle and Kimberly Veney were also friendly, efficient and very competent as they helped with the purchase and the financing. PRESSURED!!!!!!! I had to ask more than 15 times to get in writing the price of the new 2015 Toyota Corolla and the interest rate!!!!! I was PRESSURED, I repeat, PRES I had to ask more than 15 times to get in writing the price of the new 2015 Toyota Corolla and the interest rate!!!!! I was PRESSURED, I repeat, PRESSURED by Mike and Brian to buy the car on the spot. Repeatedly I told them I wanted to go home and compare their price with the other prices I had been given, but they didn't want to listen to what I had to say. FINALLY, after being there for 2 hours, they wrote down the information I requested. The next day I went back to purchase the new Toyota Corolla. They announced my name over the intercom and congratulated me for the purchase of a new 2015 Toyota Corolla. Within a minute, after I was congratulated over the intercom, the monthly price jumped up more then $50!!! I was told they "forgot" something. When I mentioned how much pressure his salespeople put on me, he laughed and said he was pressuring them to sale cars. Well, all that pressure they tried to put on me, DIDN'T work at all!!!!!! I happily and peacefully purchased a new 2015 Toyota Corolla at the dealership in Gastonia WITHOUT any pressure at all. More
