Frame swap I feel that the dealership could have been in better communication with me throughout the frame swap although they do this all the time I hopefully wi I feel that the dealership could have been in better communication with me throughout the frame swap although they do this all the time I hopefully will only have to go through this once in my life. I would recommend that you stay on the dealer weather in person or on the phone on a daily basis as they are not going to be contacting you. I was under the impression that anything that was found that was a problem I would be contacted immediately and given the option to have it repaired based on the letter I received from corporate about the recall it was stated that while they were doing the work any work I wanted done would be done free of a labor charge and I would only be charged parts. Yet when I pick the vehicle up I was given a list of a bunch of problems they found yet I was never once given the opportunity to make those problems right while they had the truck apart and I believe Parts would have been much more easily accessible at that time. I am going off of memory so I may be 100% wrong but I do believe that is what the letter said aside from that I feel they did a very thorough job and as I stated earlier I just wish that I would have been kept abreast of the situation more often than what I was which was not at all until after the job was completed. Bruce was great he had a wonderful personality he had great customer skills in person and seem like an all-around super person I was provided a loaner which I thought was great, one complaint I had was it was filthy when I got it which I really can't complain about being it was the middle of winter but I kind of felt like I was going to be blamed for it being dirty because I certainly wasn't cleaning it before I returned it. Obviously I would much rather have the dealer work on the vehicle but with their rates now that the vehicle is totally back together there is no way I can pay two to three times the labor rate of other shops. So I will utilize my other mechanics to do whatever work needs to be done that I cannot do myself. All around I would say Bruce did an outstanding job of explaining everything but once again I feel that it was explained too late. Working for a major corporation I know how things go you don't make much money if you are changing parts out and not charging labor therefore I'm sure he was tailored to do things the way they were done so if any blame was to be put anywhere it would be higher up the chain and not on anybody else that I dealt with. I will be contacting corporate to find out what the deal is and why I was not given the opportunity to have these parts repaired for the price of the parts only I don't know if this was because this was their final push to clean up whatever frames they missed but in my situation I had not gotten a letter until this final extension for whatever reason had I not found that letter I probably would have missed out on getting my frame replaced so all I can say is to surmise everything stay on top of them call more than less if necessary ask a lot of questions don't make the same mistake I did and assumed that you were going to be called. I did not receive one email although I did send emails out I did realize the number they had listed for me was a phone number I did not have since 2006 as far as a home number but they did have my cellular number.. I feel the communication could have been a little bit better and I think when you're working on somebody's vehicle especially when it is a $36,000 vehicle and not only that but it is the fourth Toyota that has been purchased two of them being over $50,000 Tundras you might spend a little more time with the detail of the whole situation. Aside from that I feel they did a very good job. I am rating Bruce 5 stars because he is a very personable person not necessarily because I had to work done that I wanted done or was I notified as often as I feel I should have been. I feel to have my life or my wife's life possibly put into Jeopardy by a rusted-out frame that I could push a screwdriver through and certain areas I think they should have been a little more delicate and I think a little more should have been done to meet the needs of the customer whatever those needs may have been whether they be install Parts paid for by the customer at a zero labor rate and I am going to push for that work to get done through corporate. It is not my fault that their friend rusted to a point that it was perforated in four locations. Do I think that having a solid frame from the beginning might have caused some situations I had gotten into in the vehicle yes I do do I put that blame on the manufacturing of the vehicle by Toyota 100% do I feel that every single rusted part should have been replaced absolutely. Her willingness and expertise to ensure excellent customer service from the start will never be forgotten. Bruce overnight-ed the part I needed, and I was provided a rental car immediately. Jason and Andrew worked tirelessly and professionally to ensure I received my repaired vehicle on time. All of their calm, patient manners were a great help to me when my frustration was at an all-time high after my car was broken into. Their knowledge of the car parts and remarkable problem-solving abilities are rare indeed. If the quality of a dealership's employees is an indication of future success, then Glen Toyota has a very bright future. I highly recommend Glen Toyota!! More
