Love my new truck I loved this dealship with their no hassle pricing. I went in told them what I wanted and had a truck picked out within the hour. Absolutely no pressure, completely accessible and very patient when it took 90 days to finally decide - we must have done 5 separate test drives. And the price was lower that the XPlan pricing i could get through work, with no hoops to jump through - their no haggle pricing is similar to the better/best pricing you would see with Truecar. Came in for basic service and snow tires as the All Weather Michelins sucked in snow. Not only did their service guy (Tom, IIRC) beat the BJs price I was quoted, he took the extra time to see if Dunn and Mavis were cheaper and they were. I ended up saving an additional $40 because he went the extra steps. My third great experience was with Bryan Zemaitis in finance. I was about to make a decision on getting the extended warranty and was about to pull the trigger on internet Ford dealer quote, which didn't include taxes. I called Van Bortel as a courtesy from my prior positive experiences and Brian not only got right back to me, he beat the internet pricing by 10%+, including NY State taxes. At every Van Bortel department I've interacted with, I've been very pleased. They seem to me like the Wegmans of car dealers, where their employees go the extra mile and still provide great prices. Van Bortel Ford – One-of-a-Kind Dealer! After much deliberation, research and comparison shopping, we decided to purchase a 2016 Ford Edge. To estimate its cost, we used Ford’s online “Build and Configure” tool. Within 21 minutes, we received an email from Matt German, a personable and knowledgeable sales rep at Van Bortel Ford in East Rochester. Matt’s email provided Van Bortel’s selling price for the Edge we had just configured, including current rebates! A few minutes later, he called to personally introduce himself and explain Van Bortel’s pricing and sales policies. We set up an appointment and met Matt, who was armed with answers to every question we posed. After another test drive, we decided to order the Edge. Matt competed the necessary paperwork, and introduced us to Brandon Wood, who explained Ford’s extended warranty and other optional add-on packages. Our new Edge arrived within the original delivery window and we went back to Van Bortel to pick it up. This time, Matt introduced us to Mark Hawkins, a virtual walking encyclopedia of Ford’s latest technology. Mark spent an hour explaining all of the new gadgets and even answered our questions regarding our 2014 Ford Fusion! Finally, Matt introduced us to Bryan Zemaitis, who carefully explained all of the important points in our Ford Credit contract. We have purchased 10 new cars over the past four decades and have never found the experience to be as enjoyable as it was at Van Bortel Ford. Matt, Mark, Brandon, Bryan and the others we met there were friendly, professional and never too busy to answer questions and make us feel like family.
