On June 10, I brought my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Arrigo West Palm Beach for a recall. I made it clear that I was only interested in the tires and alignment and requested a detailed quote. Samantha initially texted me, "With tax everything comes to $937." After I told her I had received a lower quote from Tire Kingdom and would simply decline the work if Arrigo couldn't match it, she called me around 2:46 p.m. and said her manager agreed to comp the alignment. She then sent an updated quote of $827.95, texting, "A little cheaper than Tire Kingdom. How's that for you?" To avoid confusion, she later confirmed in writing: "So I'll get you in for tires and alignment. No to the rest right?" I replied, "Correct, thank you." Based on those conversations and written quotes, I authorized the work. When I returned on June 12 to pick up my vehicle, I was unexpectedly presented with a bill for $993. I explained that this was not the amount I had agreed to and that Samantha had represented her quoted amounts as final totals that included taxes and fees. Instead of addressing the discrepancy professionally, Calvin responded by asking if I understood that taxes apply everywhere, "like at Publix." The situation escalated as Calvin, Bill, Brad, and service manager Cornell became dismissive and confrontational rather than trying to understand why I was confused by the dealership's own pricing error. The most shocking part of this experience was hearing Cornell state, verbatim, "I don't give a xxxx, give him what he wants and get him the xxxx out of here." No customer should ever be spoken about that way. I appreciate that General Manager George, acknowledging that this behavior was unacceptable. However, there was no reason for multiple employees to dogpile, degrade, and disrespect a loyal customer over a mistake that originated from their own staff. I have retained all of the text messages documenting the quoted amounts, services authorized, and timeline of events. I am happy to say that in spite of some initial hiccups with my previously enjoyed 2022 Grand Wagoneer, the management, service department and sales moved heaven and earth to remedy the issues with my vehi with my previously enjoyed 2022 Grand Wagoneer, the management, service department and sales moved heaven and earth to remedy the issues with my vehicle and get me back on the road as quick as possible. My salesperson Shane Mallonee was responsive even on his day off and got into gear the moment he heard I was having issues with my vehicle and saw through with what he said he was going to do until I was back in my vehicle and down the road. Bill Shaw in management called me directly after my previous review and assured me that he would be following up personally with my vehicle and working with the service department to make sure I got back into it before my roadtrip tomorrow. Also, he added me to a group text with the service advisor working on my vehicle and himself in the chat with me, so we could all be on the same page together. This is excellent customer service and represents something rarely found in the car business or anywhere else. In the service side, Calvin and Mike did a great job staying in communication with me and letting me know where parts were in transit and what was being down to remedy the issues I was having with my vehicle. Mike went on a test drive with me after I returned to retrieve the vehicle to personally show me what had been done and to see that the vehicle was driving correctly. All around I had a fantastic experience with this purchase and even with the service issues with the vehicle, I'm assured in knowing that in the future if something presents itself, these folks are going to be in my corner to make sure I'm back on the road as quickly and agreeably as possible. The rear lift gate hands-free opener didn't work, when leaving to take my son to school, the defroster turned on by itself and fogged the windshield completely. I attempted to turn on the windshield wipers since I couldn't see anything and I was in traffic, windshield wipers would not turn on. I was completely blind and stuck in traffic. I needed to turn on my hazard lights and stop traffic so I could wipe the windshield off to be able to pull over and turn the defrost on high heat while using the windshield sprayer until I could see between the drops enough to be able to drive. As I was driving, I attempted to use the automatic cruise control and lane keep assist. Neither worked even though they were turned on in the settings. As I continued to drive, the tire pressure monitor system showed all 4 tires suddenly 10 psi lower than what they had previously shown, then the psi went up to 35, then 32, then the numbers kept changing without any rhyme or reason. I have owned this car for less than 24 hours and it is totally unacceptable that a car could be sold in this condition with this host of faults. If these issues are not remedied, I will be returning the vehicle as soon as possible. More
