Fifteen words, from a woman of Boston Irish ancestry? Hmmm. I have never had a new car before. However, this is my 2nd purchase of a 2026 CRV Hybrid from Carlos DeCosta at Colonial Honda, due to a bizar Hmmm. I have never had a new car before. However, this is my 2nd purchase of a 2026 CRV Hybrid from Carlos DeCosta at Colonial Honda, due to a bizarre 5:30 am crash that crushed the first car, empty & parked in my driveway. In both sales experiences, this 72 yr old woman was treated with respect, with my many questions either answered immediately or after being looked into. I was given plenty of time to think about & express any concerns about what I was buying, financing, nonstandard options, both while at the showroom and by phone afterwards. Anything that came to mind was given consideration and patience, & if Carlos didn’t know the answer, he found someone who did, then quickly got back to me. In short, I did not feel rushed, which I had been afraid of. When I left, contract & keys in hand, I understood what I’d agreed to, absolutely loved the vehicle (well- vehicles), & felt that little excited tingle of making a Big Move without the “what have I got myself into” post-purchase worry, especially since I now had/ have a new monthly bill! One nice touch by a coworker, with my 1st purchase: he looked at the radio presets on my rental car, & put them in the new car! Very, very thoughtful, leaving me one less thing to learn about in all the high-tech. My previous car was a 2004 CRV, with push button radio presets, a spare tire hanging on the tailgate, & 399,000 miles on the odometer! One more general comment: While I was surprised no to see women salespeople, the variety of ethnicities and ages among the men was impressive. That has to help lots of people feel simpatico and helped during purchasing decisions. Seeing women at least in Financing was a plus ~ in addition to their pleasant helpfulness, of course! More
